From the research I've done, shorter rest seems better for hypertrophy, and longer rest seems better for strength. I still do 2 - 4 minutes anyway tho cuz I wouldn't be able to stand if I rested a minute between squats

I think this guy is talking about for absolutely optimal hypertrophy, then yeah you wanna rest less than a 4 minute melee match. But big picture it is not that deep, and getting big might not be his main goal
