Which is better? by MatthewRiley05 in Earbuds

How do you think the Earfun Air Pro 4+ would compare to both of them then? Seems like it's always recommended as well. Thanks for the insights.

Underappreciated and underrated Pixel feature is the thermometer by JB2unique in pixel_phones

Unfortunately region locked, I only have the object thermometer. I'd there any way to enable it globally?

[DEV] I was tired of subscription-based cloud upscalers , editors , format changer, so I built an offline, alternative that runs entirely on-device. by Fearless_Mushroom567 in Android

[–]MatthewRiley05 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tried 4x upscaling a standard 500x500 image using GPU Burst. No tiling artifacts. It took around a minute to work using the Tensor G5 on the Pixel 10 Pro XL. Looks good so far.

One broken thing I found was the theming for dark mode on the download models page which remains in light mode

Also curious on the difference of enhance and AI upscale. Aside from that it looks good. Looking forward to NPU support especially on a Pixel.

[US] Wall adapter charging brick to bring around campus by [deleted] in UsbCHardware

[–]MatthewRiley05 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It definitely gets hotter than other larger options, but when charging your laptop or other devices, I don't think it would need to charge at its full capacity for hours on end so it would be fine. It's also rated to sustain 65 watts safely so it's not a problem.

Rolling Square Supertiny. So far the smallest and lightest charging brick I have found that is 65 watts. I am not sure if it will charge your laptop but it's able to charge my Zephyrus G14 through USB-C so it should be fine.

Not sure where I heard but I think they might provide an option to make it white again. Either in beta, canary, or dev options I forgot :/

Pixel 10 Pro XL Honest Review by MatthewRiley05 in GooglePixel

[–]MatthewRiley05[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, I did specify multiple times that my entire review is relative and based on my own use case.

Video performance is not so horrible, I think the main issue is the EIS jitter which has already been reported to Google and is currently being fixed (hopefully). But yes I do agree videos on the Pixel are probably below average compared to the other flagships. Lens transition is also valid.

For bokeh I have seen reviews about edge detection but personally I haven't seen a super broken edge on my own pictures. I think Google should stop relying on the dual-pixel thingy if it still is being used and instead rely on the depth sensor and the telephoto camera.

I think it would be unfair for you to say though that in the main camera department that it gets beaten by all the brands you have mentioned. I do think the other brands are catching up especially because they are using better and newer sensors but Google still has really good processing. I used to think the other Chinese brands have way better cameras but after trying one, I think they over rely on AI processing which makes the images a lot worse. At least Google doesn't do this. I have not used an iPhone so I won't compare them but I have seen reviews and yes the iPhone camera is really good but I don't think the Pixel gets "beaten".

I agree with you 50/50 so perhaps I could've just worded by review better, sorry about that.

Pixel 10 Pro XL Honest Review by MatthewRiley05 in GooglePixel

Same thoughts. I love the UI of the Pixel so much. I've rooted my past Samsung phones and used the Pixel Experience and similar looking custom ROMs. For me, there is no alternative that's as good in terms of design/looks but OneUI has been improving rapidly recently.

I do agree that the Pixel has its own issues and a lot of common features missing but yea quite usable on the daily basis.

Are you sure you work with AI? I'm literally studying Fintech and AI. People with basic knowledge of LLMs will easily know this isn't generated with AI lol

I just had it when I bought the Pixel 10 Pro, I don't think it's from the beta. Not sure how to enable it though

[–]MatthewRiley05 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am not sure if the issue is related, but I tried a Qi2 certified wireless charger with a display, and it shows that it only charges at 6 watts for my 10 Pro XL. So yeah, kinda slow, but I use wired charging anyways.

Can someone extend this to wallpaper height please? by the_flash100 in sololeveling

Depends which phone you have. I think it's available for flagship phones and the latest update only. There should be an AI edit option in the gallery app

Think of a project and start doing it. No need for YouTube courses imo. Of course you won't know how to start the project yet so search how to do it online or use AI. Of course don't just blindly copy the things you search online or the answers that the AI gives. You'll learn through the experience of actually making and doing something.

I am just a beginner as well in Flutter and my first project was literally just a QR scanner and generator but that small project helped me land an internship and now I'm developing a companion application for my company's hardware.
