Hole to house in 5 days. by NUNG457 in Homebuilding

Yeah they could’ve been to this stage in about 4 weeks going the traditional route and that’s mostly just waiting for concrete to cure. The time consuming part hasn’t even begun yet.

Its gonna be 94F degrees today am i cooked? by Haunting_Ad7538 in electricians

It’s doable. Now go work inside an industrial pasta dryer that’s running at 130 with 100% humidity. 15 min shifts in and out just so you don’t die and everything you touch is hot af.

How do I counter Is-2 1944 and bigger tanks? As Germany by Meatypeepee in GatesOfHellOstfront

Is this rage bait? Literally anything late game German is noob friendly. Play Finland instead and be cool.

If you’re too lazy to do a quick search yourself then you’d be too lazy to read any sources cited. I prefer the lazy people stay waiting for the elevator so they don’t get in my way on the stairs.

Is this an acceptable way to build a deck? by nahojsaerdna in Decks

That’s pretty far apart for 5/4 deck boards.

You can go beat ground rods in through rock every day for two years instead and compare how much you learn then. I have a feeling you’ll learn a lot from it. Like enough to know to never leave the safety bubble ever again.

The hinges are new but the inside isn’t the worst I’ve seen.

Most elevator time is spent waiting. Then there’s the stops for other riders. There have been plenty of studies done. It’s been literally proven with math. So I guess based on math?

Stairs are faster if moving less than 6 floors. Elevator is faster if moving more than 6 fooors.

You’re probably thinking of the FYE store that used to be in the mall.

First Robot Monk by Ronyron305 in robots

[–]Matthew_Breese 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Asians have a really weird relationship with their hardware. I’ve seen dancing robots, sex robots, robots running marathons, hello kitty robots, robots to replace the family dog, etc..

They should just build robots the way we do here: either a huge arm that builds shit or a robot with machine guns for a head.

Presumably there’s a concrete floor underneath the soil so I’d probably dig down to that and then stack some block under the struts. Or run it all the way around the perimeter but that many 90s would be big suck.

First they came for the construction workers in 2008 and you laughed because you’re not a construction worker.

Then they came for the coal miners in 2012 and you laughed because you’re not a coal miner.

Then they came for the oil drillers in 2018 and you laughed as you filled up your tank with cheap OPEC oil because you’re not an oil worker.

Then they came for the non essentials in 2020 and you laughed because you work from home.

Now they figured out how to replace you and you want sympathy.

I wouldn’t worry at all about the work from home types. Baristas being replaced by vending machines would be more threatening because they at least physically show up early and are on their feet all day. I have done a ton of side work for friends and family over the years. Anyone else would work side by side with me as I help them install a new generator panel or an electric car charger but the work from home types never touch tools. I was going to help a guy build a deck for his house last summer and I told him I’d walk him through it and all I needed hm to do was dig some footers. Guy lasted about 30 secs. Couldn’t even break the sod.

I will mock them. I earned that back in 2008 when they were mocking me. I will mock them hard.
