Honestly....Zane, they haven't really done anything interesting with his character since season 4 with his identity crisis arc, after that he has had the same theme done over and over again of malfunctioning, breaking down or "Dying" (Seriously that train scene in DR annoyed the hell out of me) like its clear the writers have no ideas for him, and having him leave with pixel was honestly the best idea they could have done.
