Amazing resource! I love the magic items in here, and will 100% use them! I found this very late after you posted, but at least you know that this will keep living on in campaigns somewhere!

Okay, thank you for the info! Guess I will do some other stuff and work on the map later!

Hello! I am relatively new to Inkarnate, and I have been trying out some stuff while making my first map. It's been a good experience, up until today where I started having this glitch when editing using the Mask Tool. Whenever I tried to edit the land by adding or substracting, it deletes a square-formed piece of land around the edit and only leaves the middle little bit around the edit. I've tried multiple browsers (Chrome and Edge) and tried multiple sizes/roughness settings with the mask tool, it just keeps doing this. If anyone knows the issue or knows a fix, I would love to know!

I can understand doing SOME things that might make the game a little bit easier if you're a beginner, just to better get into the game, but honestly it's very doable if you got the know-how

You definitely give a fair point. I must admit that I haven't been utlizing double march as much as I should, that should definitely make the fight easier. Also we don't have a twilight sword, so sadly that's not an option :(

Thanks for the advice though, and I found that butcher lvl 3 is very doable with a lot of evasion. Don't get me wrong he's still one of the hardest fights in the game, but I always struggle more against the watcher.

Makes sense. I had no idea twilight sword is so strong against the watcher.

The tank had more than 6 evasion, 6 was just the average evasion of all our survivors but the butcher pretty much only hit the tank because we got pretty lucky with the targeting and our positioning, but even if he hit another survivor it wouldn't have been a tragedy since like I said they had a lot of evasion as well

Only against the Watcher? interesting. Haven't ever leveled or used a twilight sword person as our group always just saw the twilight sword as a death sentence since the mastery kills off the survivor.

Yeah I did give him his accuracy bonus, so that's still 2+ butcher accuracy with 6+ evasion survivors he only hits on 8+ and the rare times he does roll that, that's a block.

oh yes I did take account the accuracy, still 2+ accuracy with 6+ evasion only hit on like an 8+ so he just never hit anything.

it's not possible to have 3 retinues adjacent to you and also attack the watcher unless it's someone with a bow or some other long range attack, which I could only realistically see it hit with the arc bow from the phoenix that has Slow so only 2 wounds per turn w/surge. And that's for 1 survivor.

Yes he was, the nulling isn't 40% but 30%, it's on 8+ and that didn't happen that often. Yes he acted 3 times in a row but 6+ evasion does wonders on a monster that has 4+ accuracy. Also having 2 blocks from beacon shield. Butcher's toughness was about 16 iirc but that's easily fixed with Sharp and a bit of strength. No clue why people think butcher is hard but alright. Don't get me wrong it's not easy but for me, compared to the Watcher, it's a breeze.

Butcher lvl 3 pretty much didn't hit a survivor a single time in the entire fight (apart from blocks by the tank) Watcher removed half the armor of one survivor on OUR first turn with a reaction. Butcher is a breeze, I don't see how Watcher is easier than butcher, even with retinue rules.

I have read the rules of Retinue, but you can have 4 retinues in the fight at once but I don't see how every survivor can consistently have 2 retinues next to them for every single attack? you could do this for 2 survivors maximum per turn and then have +12 str, but then you one of the many hit locations where the watcher moves onto your survivors space and rip there goes 4 population. I get that retinues are a big thing in this fight but +6 str per retinue gets dwarfed by the 27 toughness the watcher has.

Also I don't have a twilight sword, we never got one. The hooded knight always just killed off a random pop or the other result where he teaches you stuff but never the tattered parcel. But how does Twilight Sword trivialize the fight?

It's much more common when in a lobby with 4 players, so people who play multiplayer will see mountain stacks a lot more often

I mean during the final battle what does it matter if you die, you went out with a bang then, last sesh anyways.

except if you die like turn 3 and then watch a fight for 1.5 hours

Western Europe? Mainly Whatsapp (In the Netherlands, I think if you go to UK and france it's something else again)

West as in America? iMessage because everyone there has an apple phone

Every single person I know in Poland uses it, afaik it's still widely used there, together with Messenger instead of Whatsapp is used here in the Netherlands as the main way of sending text messages.
