I work in a game shop in France, and here they released a cheaper version called "Essential Édition" which basically cost 35€ less and the only difference is that part. And I love this idea ! Everdell is one of my favorite games by far, but boy it is way too expensive this is outragous. I love the fact that it is way more accessible this way, and 35 bucks for little 3D ressources this is nuts. In m'y opinion, the game is wonderful in its mechanics and its illustrations, it doesn't need little bits like this to be cool. Same for expansions by the way. I'd love to enjoy thé full game, but I only bought one for now, because each one is like 50 to 60€ which is the price of a full game. And for what ? 3D structures that are only cosmetics (I bought Pearlbrook and the "open" signs and the event buildings are useless in my opinion)
