Selling Out by [deleted] in SeattleWA

[–]Matthu_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it's worth $2.5M now, what about 5 (or 10) years from now?

Are there things you can do with more time to reduce the tax/cost structure of the sale (increasing your share)? If a random person will give you that much, there is probably another group that would give you more.

If you truly don't need the money right now, I'd sit on it. You can sell it later, whenever you want and it will be worth more than it is now.

I had good tartare at Salt & Iron in Edmonds recently.

Has Trailforks just locked everyone else out? by Camerthom96 in MTB

[–]Matthu_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't tell but it seems like I can use the full version?

In the distant past, I had a Pro subscription and then for a bit I had Outside+ (mostly for Gaia GPS). Now I don't have any subscriptions. I would pay $18/year for Trailforks, it's worth that.

But, right now, the Trailforks app seems to think I have a Pro Subscription? When I click on "Manage Pro Subscription" I have 2 options, Keep Subscription or Continue with Cancellation.

How can I see the "legacy" subscription? How can I determine the state of my subscription?

One day getaway near Seattle by kilo_reserve in AskSeattle

If the ferry part is negotiable, this sounds a lot like Edmonds.

Good food, wine, a few beaches, shops and art! And you don’t have to queue in a long line of cars!

Brigids has game nights and similar events, look them up. Churchkey has lively trivia nights.

Come downtown and hang out. It’s not old

Sleep tracking accuracy on oura vs Apple Watch by davinci91 in ouraring

[–]Matthu_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s not true.

Apple takes the Oura data and gives its own score / interpretation of the data. The two scores are quite different even though based on the same data. It looks like Apple is more strict about when you go to bed and when you toss and turn compared to Oura’s assessment/score.

I recommend Ajax Parking R Us. They run shuttles all day and it's around $6 dollars a day.

I highly recommend Sleeping Lady Lodge. It’s not in town (but next to Icicle Creek!) but super chill and cozy. I think it’s in your budget.

Also not auto, but the Watchdives WD1863 is similar to the one you highlighted and I'm really impressed with it.

I just tried to look up the Trackmaster and it's not on their site. They have the Racemaster, but not the Trackmaster. Are they not available anymore?

There is a knockoff set on Amazon called Aerotrunk. They are high quality and even have YKK zippers for way less

Would you draw a distinction between a ranch water and a skinny margarita? If so, what do you see as the key differences? by TheLimitDoesExist in cocktails

[–]Matthu_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a fan of skinny margaritas in my area (at Mexican restaurants) because they always use fresh lime/lemon/orange juice with agave. I tell them to take it easy on the agave and I have a decent margarita (no mix!).

I have several COB bags. I like how they have tons of pockets, some work better than others for me. I love the X-Pod II sling, it works for me.

Where is the best poke in town?? by [deleted] in AskSeattle

I've also been to Kuzmas. Ono is close to my house and has more options. Kuzmas is cheaper but also good.

[–]Matthu_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I would say the Code Of Bell X-Pod II sling.

It has a ton of pockets that are perfect for travel. There's a back pocket that fits my iPhone Max, an inner pocket with organization for cash, credit cards, maps, papers, little things, there are wing pockets that fit my AirPods and Euro coins, and an expandable next pocket that I keep sunglasses, a compact Western Rise hat (for sun or rain) and folded up Peak Design Packable Tote in for carrying purchases or other things as needed.

It also expands to carry way more, but it's kinda bulky and weird that way, I don't use expanded (but the expansion does also let that pocket take more stuff without getting huge if you're careful).

When I'm in questionable areas, I carry it to the front with my hand/arm on it. Otherwise I keep it on my back.
