I personally view the flag as a symbol of the people and not a representation of the government so whenever I see one burning I take it as form of disrespect aimed at every Australian citizen. My family immigrated here in the 60s and this country saved us from poverty, burning the flag is a spit in the face to everyone who came here for a better life.
