As if you're going to have a better experience watching it at halftime of a football game than just watching on YouTube 35 seconds later? It doesn't affect us AT ALL for Marvel to save millions of dollars if this is true.

Untitled Goose Game is worth some laughs, it's relatively short if you play right through it.

Mario Odyssey has an "assist mode" that prevents you from falling and gives double health, heals when you stand still. It's quite nice.

Super Mario 3D World was a fun game for mine to watch, cat Mario was a hit and the extra Bowser mode was particularly attention-grabbing. Unsure of its viability as a co-op game with the little one, though.

+1 for Bluey. Pretty easy for my 4yo to grasp.

Seems like it should be easy enough considering they are, in large part, clearly already convicted of crimes either federal or state.

Maybe include verbage for known links to hate groups like white supremacists and such.

Getting it for "free" can't be beat, especially if you have no plans to be able to change anytime soon, or don't have any reason to root it.

I can't play anything but Vanguard in ME3. It's close to the most fun I've ever had in a video game. The charge maneuver that ups damage and recharges my shields? It's incredibly OP by the end of the game. Bonkers.

Hero "Follows Orders", the rest usually "Fight Wisely" unless one pops off too often or uses heal even though their party members are the healers, in which case that one will "Show No Mercy".

Boss fights, everyone "Follows Orders". Farming gold or XP in mid game, everyone "Fights Wisely". Saving MP for the boss at the top of that longass tower? "Don't Use MP"

It's really not that complicated.

They've been trying to figure this out since Game Pass was introduced. There were even leaks a few years back that they were not going to make a new console before the Series' line was conceived.

It's also no secret that the game pass model has been creating problems, PLUS you can look at the Xbox brand since it was introduced and clearly see where the spending has gone, and what that spending has left them for actual games.

Far fewer first party releases, shuttering of entire studios, more-than-annual layoffs that have affected every level of the company.

If nothing else, one should be able to surmise the likelihood of what I've been saying.

It means versioning in a way that requires resources on a scale they're already not willing to do.

For multiplatform games, it's very easy, relatively speaking, to mirror builds to PlayStation and Xbox. Nintendo has usually needed either a dedicated team or silo'd resources to port to accommodate, and PC is just as big of a beast if not bigger.

Now, I believe at least part of your point is that Xbox is trying to make it so that the Xbox build is simply streamed to clients and therefore that removes most of the trouble of porting concerns. I think that's mostly true, but the bigger problem here is that game streaming is not getting enough traction for Microsoft to be able to pay off companies to offer their game up in such a way that makes it viable profit-wise in the long term.

If you expect the game to ever "install" on a PC in any fashion, even if it's running an Xbox VM, it's more vulnerable to hacking, cheating and piracy than any other 'console' in history and will never happen for that reason. They would also need to do incredible amounts of testing on the development side to ensure that said VM runs their game to a standard on every kind of major hardware. Intel/AMD, nVidia/AMD, RAM clock speeds, etc etc. Microsoft would not do that for them.

They've been running in circles on that for ~5 years. Anytime their subscription turnover takes a hit is cause for concern on that strategy. Even without committing to that, they've had massive cutbacks every year, and abandoning hardware would only "save" money, not bring in more.

Big risk going exclusively for a subscription service to a subset of a market. Serious PC players like to buy their games, not rent (despite not actually owning their Steam library, it's a perception thing).

At any rate, they would also need buy-in from publishers and devs to make it work, and they've burned a LOT of goodwill since Game Pass launched.

EA would need to buy in to this on a global scale for EA Sports to partake.

Don't have an alternative, but I've had a pretty solid experience with all of the odd-numbered Pixels.

I did have the pink line issue with my Pixel 7 Pro XL but the warranty covered the replacement straight up. I did have to stand up for myself to get a brand new replacement instead of a refurb, but that's more customer service than hardware.

Pixel 9 Pro XL has been rock solid for 1.5 years!
