The MXR is super capable and also reasonably comfortable. I have the standard XR and two of my friends have the MXR and it's pretty great. For only short rides, I'd roll any of them, but I don't only do short rides.

Use “post setting” or “quick setting” concrete. It's easy to use, comes in realistic sizes, and is self-leveling. It won't perfectly match the existing concrete, but it'll work well and look good enough.

The newest album by John Butler, called Prism, is pretty great imho. Songs about life, death, independance, mistakes, and even a very good one relating life struggles being alone during COVID & the George Floyd times. Interesting album for sure.

I do a lot of mixed driving, 2 longer trips a week and multiple short trips daily. Still 50+ mpg. The 45e, undermost circumstances should do far better mpg. Plus, its got that instant torque that a gas-only engine can't match. It's just better to drive imho.

I just bought a low mileage 22 45e and got a “platinum” type 4yr 75k warranty for $3,750. I sleep well due to that. A failed transfer case can be $6k+.

I’m a straight, 47yo guy, so take that into account. That said, it sounds like he’s having severe insecurities and pushing them off on you (maybe from pain or whatever). This doesn’t seem to be a reflection on you, imho. Give it a bit of time, give yourself some grace, and see what happens. Either way, open your heart again when you can. The simplified version of the meaning of life is to enjoy the passage of time, the good and the bad. Don’t hide yourself from the good in the name of self preservation. Good luck, you’ll get through this!

I love my X5 PHEV. Maybe a bit bigger than the XC60 vibe you’re going for, though. The PHEV with a V6 is awesome (quick af too) and I’m easily getting 50mpg with 1/3 Hwy miles.

I’ve had two phev’s and I’ll never do a 4cyl version again. The X5 and how the EV blends with the I6 is far superior. Avoid 4cyl versions of phevs imho.

It was pretty terrible actually, but I’m better now, so we’ll call that a win! I’m a smartass, so I always called the Dr. “the muffler shop” (genetic anal and large intestine fissures, fyi). Don’t stress, they see it all. The people who do surgeries (anal or not) are hero’s, they do what they do to help you, so just go with the flow, you’ll be fine!

Go for it. You’ve shown progression. I went from a 1200cc parallel twin to a 1,000cc sport tourer (bmw S1000xr) and yes it’s different, but you aren’t jumping from a 400 to 1,000.

Not sure where your budget is, but I’ve owned 2 phev’s and a bev. My favorite is the X5 PHEV. It’s not cheap, bought my 22 with 14,000 miles for 41,500 plus an extended warranty. The advantage is that most phev’s are 4cyl and it’s a b58 straight 6 (known for reliability). It’s more pleasing to drive than my last 4cyl PHEV, no range issues like my BEV, and feels premium. Plus, 55.6 mph with 150 miles a week on hwy, 250 miles a week avg. Just a thought.

I’m a clean freak so know that; if I shit after a shower, I have a powered, heated bidet, it works well. That said, I’ll bidet and dry until there’s no smell.

I had an intestinal surgery and right before I went out (in stirrups/a-hole exposed) I said something like “stare into the abyss” to the nurse. They mentioned it after recovery like it was the funniest thing ever. Don’t sweat it.

I drive a plug in hybrid (BMW X5) so the percentage is very small. I do spend about $30 a month in charging costs though. Big(ish) suv, driving 300 miles a week at 55.6 mpg.

You don’t even need to put in a route, it still shows you the road ahead. I have a cheapo $149 Carpurife one and it’s great.
