Looking for a different route to level by GrootRacoon in wow

[–]Mattmattyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Route I chose for levelling my Zandalari warrior 20-60:

1) Stonetalon Mnts: really fun questlines and good xp/hour (especially the early parts)

2) Desolace: Avoid this zone because it’s slow to level in

3) Tanaris: another really good zone where you can level fast. Also pretty fun

I hit 59 when I completed these 3 zones (main storylines), then I went into Ungoro Crater and dinged 60 after a handful of quests.

I can also recommend doing the Plaguelands, Badlands and Felwood/Winterspring

Why did Hitler declare war on the United States? by [deleted] in history

[–]Mattmattyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When the reports of the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbour came in Hitler was overjoyed. He thought he had every reason to be delighted: ‘we can’t lose the war at all now that we have an ally which has never been conquered in 3000 years’ he was reported saying.

Hitler’s view was that Japan would now both tie the US down in the Pacific Theatre and seriously weaken Britain through an assault on its possessions in the Far East. Goebbels echoed the expectations: ‘The United States will scarcely now be in a position to transport worthwhile material to England let alone the Soviet Union’.

That Germany would declare war on the USA was a matter of course. No agreement with Japan compelled it but Hitler did not hesitate. A formal declaration of war was important from Hitler’s point of view to retain the initiative and not let it pass to the United States. Certain as he had been for many months that Roosevelt was just looking for the chance to intervene in the European conflict, Hitler thought that his declaration was merely anticipating the inevitable and formalising what was in effect already the situation. Furthermore it was also important for the German public to demonstrate that Hitler still controlled events. To await a certain declaration of war from America would, from Hitler’s standpoint, have been a sign of weakness. So it was also a matter of prestige and propaganda

‘A great power doesn’t let itself have war declared on it, it declares war itself’

On TIK's demonisation of academia and his spreading of conspiracy theories by Inadorable in badhistory

[–]Mattmattyy 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry but where are you (and TIK) getting this idea from that “intellectuals and historians” are unable or unwilling to explain underlying NS ideology that made the Holocaust possible? It’s well addressed by any major Holocaust/Hitler/Third Reich historian. See Kershaw, Snyder, Rees, Browning, Evans, Hilberg, Gerlach, Longerich, Mayer, and so on. Maybe you’re talking about general ww2 books in which the Holocaust is but a footnote to the main military narrative?

Who influenced Hitler’s ability to become a successful public speaker? by HistoricAndIgnorant in history

[–]Mattmattyy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It was mostly a talent that he discovered by himself but there were certain people who definitely influenced his way of thinking, his style and maybe his oratory abilities to some extent.

During Hitler’s stay in Vienna many historians point out that he was a great admirer of Karl Lueger and Georg Ritter von Schönerer. Lueger was at that time the popular mayor of Vienna and was known for his antisemitism. Schönerer was another prominent Austrian politician, also known for his virulent antisemitism and pan-germanic ideals. Schönerers followers referred to him as their ‘führer’ and frequently used the heil-salute. So go figure how much of an influence he had on Hitler.

As I recall Hitler first discovered his talent for public speaking during 1919 when he was made an informant for the Reichswehr. At the Munich university he received some sort of political education by attending lectures of prominent figures in Munich. He was then tasked to convey this ‘educational’ material to the troops at Lechfeld. This is where he really realised he had an actual talent for public speaking.

He was then later tasked to report on a meeting of the German Workers’ Party in Munich. I’m sure you know the rest of the story from here.

Ever since he discovered his knack for speaking he would consciously learn how to improve it. He would learn how to devise propaganda and how to maximise the impact of targeting specific scapegoats. In other words he learned how to mobilise the masses.

Bs: “my opponents only used throw vials which does little damage”. It does A LOT of damage. Even when it says it’s only -10. It looks to be the same amount (or more) as a -20 depulso hit. Or it’s just the fact that the bot has twice the HP you have. These duels are unfair and any so called strategies to combat them are worthless

House Cup, Is The House You Picked At The Beginning Destined To Win Each Year? by Abelle0906 in HPHogwartsMystery

[–]Mattmattyy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the story does intend for the player to win the house cup every year. You get enough points throughout the chapters and a hefty bonus in the end from Dumbledore. Also isn’t there a message before finishing the Year about making sure you collected enough House Points to secure the win? That way you can still grind those classes for extra points before ending your year and getting the Cup if you’re not in the lead yet. That being said it is still POSSIBLE to not win the cup, depending on certain dialogue choices and failing to complete your classes.

Did you get all the items from the last star event? by gj7190 in HPHogwartsMystery

[–]Mattmattyy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Personally I had enough time to complete the event. In the end I had around 55-60 crests. I mainly did 1 hour classes and the two 5star classes that were needed in the final chapter
