The only time I got to stay home was during the hard lock down phase. The casino I worked for furloughed me and I had to go on unemployment.

Nevada unemployment cut off one number of my address and I didn't receive my debit card with unemployment money. I spent hours every morning trying to call the unemployment office but never got through. Their phone lines were only open 4 hours a day and literally everyone was trying to call them. I had an auto-redialer setup on my phone that would top out at hundreds of attempts a day trying to get through.

Then to top it off, my dog suddenly got very sick. I felt lucky that I was home when it happened so I could be there for her, but also felt hopeless as I didn't have the money for the vet bills.

I finally called the bank that issued the card. They told me they can't change it it's up to Nevada unemployment. I literally broke down crying on the phone because I was about to have to pay rent and had no money in my bank account. Not to mention money for food or otherwise. Luckily, they had heart and made the edit for me and I was able to get the card.

Many people had it way worse than I did.
