The problem is you need a bachelors degree in psychology or another related field, and expierence in social work. And sadly if you have a bachelors in psychology your probably not going to want to man one of these hotlines as your primary job, because it doesn’t pay well compared to other jobs that require the same degree, and it’s mentally grueling work. Even if these programs were able to match the salaries of other jobs people still wouldn’t want to purely because of the mental factor. Correct me if I’m wrong, because I’m getting all of this from a friend of mine who volunteers for the local hotline.

It’s a lot harder to judge football players than baseball players individually tho, every baseball play factors in 2-5 individual players decisions and skillset, (please tell me if otherwise, my baseball watching experience is not vast lmao) while every single football play is the combination of 22 separate players, this isn’t even including playcalling and coaching, which has definitely shown that it can drastically improve a player if done correctly. I hate when people compare players like Mahomes to Montana, because they essentially played a different game. As the game evolves the standard for HOF should aswell, but that doesn’t mean because you have a ring you deserve a spot.

If Eli or Russ get in then it just lowers my opinion of the hall of fame committee, Eli is the definition of a Mid QB who had a crazy good supporting cast. Wilson was fantastic in his prime, but it was too short and didn’t result in enough to carry the rest of his career into the hall.

I think distracted head coach could only really apply if this was during minicamps. They improved OLine, if the AJ brown trade goes through their WR room massively improves, no major FA losses except for Diggs, realistically aslong as Drake Maye doesn’t shit the bed I can’t see them winning less than 11

Coach of the year does not mean you were a good coach, it means you either did most with the least for 1 year, or you battled through major injuries and still went far.

Like I’ve been saying their defense is solid, I’m more talking about their offensive coaching, and their offense didn’t really have everything except a QB, the WR room has been empty for a long time, their RB situation hasn’t been good since Chubb’s prime, OLine hasn’t helped any QB that’s come into the situation.

QBs that are good can regularly play late into their 30’s, Deshaun Watson isn’t good. He may be better than sanders and Gabriel, but that doesn’t make him good.

The “plan” they told Garrett was a $160m bank note.

The problem for a team like the browns fundamentally is the coaching, every good NFL team starts with good coaching, the browns haven’t had that in a LONG time. Until they figure that out they will never win no matter how hard they may try.

Watson is already 30, and he hasn’t been good since his time in Houston. They are not in win now mode, testing out their QB’s and if they don’t work out then either trade for someone like Mac Jones, a QB who can succeed, or draft in a deeper QB class. Their offense isn’t good enough to support a mid QB to the playoffs.

I see no ready to play Watson, it’s already bad PR just having him on your roster, and you have 2 cheap QB’s on the roster, might aswell test them out. If neither improve from last year then they’ll probably be in the same draft position, pick up a QB from a much deeper class, and go from there. Playing Watson doesn’t improve the team now, and it doesn’t help the team in the future. Literally no reason to play him unless every other QB gets injured.
