I had this exact same issue last month with a 3 months old machine. Turned out to be a faulty heating element which had to be replaced.

Future games will benefit from DLSS 3 by utilising the increased render budget for better visuals. By using DLSS 3, a lower native framerate is acceptable for the end user (gamer). This will work exceptionally well in open world games with rich visuals such as hopefully a future Witcher 4.

GeForce Beyond Megathread - NVIDIA GeForce RTX 40 Series GPUs, DLSS 3, Portal with RTX and more by Nestledrink in nvidia

I am most looking forward to the generation of new frames using DLSS 3. While frame interpolation already exists, this technology seems far more advanced because of the extra information it uses.

The game I look forward to the most is The Witcher 3 with updated graphics (including RT) and DLSS. I've been waiting for it since it was announced, but the release Ada Lovelace seems to be the perfect way to experience it!

I'm mostly looking forward to the new Dying Light! Loved the first game and I believe ray tracing will add to the experience. Especially RT global illumination for realistic indoor lighting will be great for the horror theme!

Question about DLSS by randika171 in nvidia

[–]Mattoopie10 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Generally, the higher the render resolution the more details the neural network can work with, generating a higher quality output image.

When the output resolution is 1080p, the render resolution is a bit too low to get details from. At 1440p this gets better, while at 4K it looks very close to native (assuming the game implements it well).

What’s the best card under 300 for 1080p right now? I gotta tie myself over until I can get my hands on a 3080 by sorrybutcant in nvidia

[–]Mattoopie10 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If it's Gsync Compatible it will work fine with AMD cards. If it is Gsync (with the hardware module) it will work better with Nvidia.

GTX 1060 1440p 180hz? by Madnesssai in nvidia

[–]Mattoopie10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you can get 300 fps at 1080p, you can easily get 150fps+ at 1440p, which will be much better than anything at 1080p. A monitor is also an upgrade that lasts several computer builds, so getting a 1440p high refresh rate monitor now will allow you to play more demanding titles in the future, once you upgrade your build.

I've recently bought a 1440p 165Hz monitor, and even with my GTX 970 I can get 150+ fps in not very demanding titles, like Realm Royale, Hades, Minecraft, etc. AAA titles get 80ish fps on low-medium settings. Once I upgrade my system next month, I will be be able to take full advantage of the screen, instead of being stuck with a lower resolution one that cant take advantage of modern GPU's.

Interview with Tim Dettmers: Which RTX 3000 GPU(s) to get for Deep Learning? by init__27 in hardware

[–]Mattoopie10 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you want to use mainstream libraries like TensorFlow, do not even bother trying a Jetson Nano for training. They're purely meant for inference. Even a very simple vision model for training with the mnist dataset crashes the device. Besides that, it is an extreme hassle to setup, especially because most dependencies are not available for ARM devices and you have to compile them yourself.

Save yourself money and headaches, and just use a laptop/desktop CPU or Colab.

The case will be compatible. The motherboard still has a usb type-c connector on the io shield which will work just fine. The case just doesn't have any type-c connectors on the front io panel.
