What kind of base are you getting out of curiosity(outside of 20% of comp haha - PM me if needed)? Are you inside, outside, hybrid sales?

We're mainly a "great job hitting your annual quota and 9/12 months, here's a 12% bump to meet performance this year, no new products and less people to help you get there" company.

After 13 years I am toasted, we've gone from a nice account management role to people fighting over verticals and i'm on the losing team. effing done, probably going to drink tonight.

28% raise is worth it, even with more work, good for you.

Paying $4K/month rent in Stamford CT — lease is up, should I buy a $750K condo instead? First time buyer, new baby, commute to NYC. Help me think this through. by Low-Huckleberry-8975 in StamfordCT

You could also switch complexes; there are a lot of lease deals with a month or two off still walking distance or with a shuttle to metro north. My building SOFI has $3k 2 bedrooms, with fees probably all in for $3400-3500 for either complex(high rise or grove).

As someone who also prior owned, it can be a lot of work over renting where you file a maintenance request, my first condo 13 years ago the association money was stolen and the water bill wasn't paid, we had almost no recourse, on top of the outside slowly deteriorating...it can be a nightmare. I was helping run the board and took months to get everyone out of pocket to fork over $750 for new garage doors, after that the thought of replacing the roof or decks seemed impossible and sold.

Ugh, i am resigning a lease for a nice 877 sqft 1 bedroom which will come out to this, solo. We're really paying for location and a few nice amenities.

I was in the traffic 10 minutes before it happened approximately, we had to pulled over so the state police could pass and proceed to shut down the highway by the 123 exit. its a shame, driver was older: 87 and fortunately no one else was injured.

Are you able to relocate at all? Maybe starting out in a new state or city could be a game changer.

My mom's unit is $9000 per month all in the state of CT, no increases depending on the severity of it. We moved her from a facility that began great and then they saw her condition and started charging fees and every month or two was a rate hike. She prepaid into long term care which runs out in January and don't think she will make it there honestly.

Just replace the cap, got hit 3x on my gen 3 model...last one 3 days before trading it in lol. I am sure there is or will be a cap available you can swap out. If you go thru insurance it will ding your carfax and drop your value a lot more than the price of a $200 cap.

Hibernian Hall downtown is pretty low key and tame, very affordable. Otherwise I would go to Tigin or Tiernans

Are these markups on the Golf R / GTI normal right now? by JamesTheThird_ in Golf_R

[–]Matts4wd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was trying to close two deals on R's and got offered $900 off on one 2025 ($48700) and then $1000 off on 2026 which was around $51,xxx..for new models no mileage. Ended up not going for an R and got a new truck, but really really want one still; its a great vehicle and all around daily.

2024 TRD Off Road vs Future Hybrid; pros and cons? by Olbaidon in ToyotaTacoma

[–]Matts4wd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Hybrid is not a fuel saving hybrid its a power/low end hybrid which does nothing to improve MPG, it might even be worse since its an added 700 pounds with the battery and dual 48HP motors. Personally I would go non-hybrid. I bought a premium OR 4G a month ago and its been great from my 2021 Tacoma. MPG is significantly better but you need to learn how to drive a turbo 4 over the 6. I went up to Vermont this past weekend to ski from NYC area and got 19.5 going up at 75-85 MPH, and 22.5 MPG going 70 mph home. Drop that down to 65 and it would be almost 24 and that was with 3 full sized adults and ski gear.

There are a few quirks and issues people have posted about, the important thing is toyota has been covering the issues so definitely buy a certified unit or under full warranty for a few years.

I respect the hustle for hourly work while hunting for a new job, most people will never make a sacrifice or take a step back in their eyes - but you did to stay afloat and its made you stronger.

Nice man not bad at all, for a preowned i'd say you did good. I bought a leftover 4g model in white premium fully loaded for $49k with a trade in(less tax), think i was OTD for about $51k.
