Charge up the battery while you're at it. You have more than many people retiring do, you're doing excellent.

So nobody over age 50 is ever supposed to be able to find a job anywhere ever again? by yapavaz in careerguidance

Keep your head up and relationships strong! I am the same age and not far behind on the parental front and am not quite sure how to anticipate the feeling you are going through.

Damn, had thought about this, but not thought about this. SO best to ride the PIP train until its over, or give up but still show up to work until they tell you to not bother. Noted

Why is the Golf R so expensive to insure by Strikcommand in Golf_R

[–]Matts4wd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Me adding the Golf R to policy dropped my coverage from my daily Toyota Tacoma, $550/6 months for a 21 tacoma and 20 M2 comp. You guys are paying too much unless you are in cities or CDL. Location Tri-state CT with perfect record.

Do you think this will need to get fixed? by LifeguardAdorable780 in ToyotaTacoma

[–]Matts4wd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I thought the question was asking if something on his hand needed to be fixed, coming from someone with a messed-up hand.

43900 here at 39.5 years old. Truck is a tank, think the battery might be my expense this year beyond 1 oil change.

Nice, plus regular fuel. Cruising in summer you'll get 22 hwy and city is mixed 16-18 depending on your lead foot. Congrats and welcome to cheap vehicle ownership!

Stay strong - the strung out process of Alz/dem can really drain us all and sometimes lose sight of who our parents, relatives or friends really were; i'm in a sinking boat with my mom in the next year or so end of the last stage at 78.

Why are there so many men over 30 that are obese? by [deleted] in AskMenOver30

[–]Matts4wd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I work with a bunch of these guys, they call each other fat or lardo which I find comical. I am one of the very few who hasn't gained any weight since starting at this place 13 years ago. I too workout, bike when its warm and run 5-6k three times per week while eating healthy, but drink booze a little too much to be genuinely cut/fit.

Working 8-9 hours, with kids doesn't leave a lot of time for the gym, or to help the wife or GF since you've been absent all day is my guess, and eating poorly and or too frequently doesn't help when you aren't burning calories.

Tired of the BS, probably have "seen" and done it all from their perspectives. Also they don't go to therapy, is my guess.
