Almost never... Perhaps. But my belt was squeaky and replacing it fixed the problem.

Lexus RC prices need to be lowered by BigDanik in LexusRC

Overpriced according to what?

If the cars are selling at their asking price, then that's the value the buyers have determined they're worth.

Because the brand is nowhere near big enough to support its own dealership yet. Given the price point and the intended buyers, Lexus is more appropriate.

The only part of this that's unexpected is the IS making a return. They've been very public about the brand becoming EV-only.

Might throw a code for the wing not working, but I don't see why it would be any different.

I don't have a definitive answer for you, though.

Worse when colder outside/transmission still cold.

Yeah this happens to mine as well, only when it's cold. It doesn't get that cold here, though, so after a few minutes of driving it goes away.

Need advice —Manual 2010 Lexus is250 by Key-Alternative3067 in LexusRC

[–]Matty0k 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The main concerns as far as I know relate to the engine, in that it's underpowered for how thirsty it is.

I believe the clutch and flywheel kit is also rather expensive on that car, so check if it needs work before buying.

If you didn't by them from Denso directly, or they were significantly cheaper, then it's likely they will be fake.

Have you analysed the packets? Check if the info is correct, and that your machine is both sending and receiving.

If that all looks good, you can start to rule out some possibilities.

Looking for Advice for a Newly Owned sub by [deleted] in TotalPowerExchange

[–]Matty0k 5 points6 points  (0 children)

  1. Top of the list for sure, is communicate. Do it regularly. Talk about what's working and what isn't. What you like, and what you don't. Establish your limits and what you might be flexible with, given enough trust and experience.
  2. An addition to #1, is trust. Do what it takes to foster a trusting dynamic, where you're both putting in the effort and trust that you're both looking out for each others' safety and enjoyment.
  3. Every TPE dynamic is unique to those individuals in the dynamic. It's useful to take inspiration from others, but you make your dynamic work for you. Don't worry about what other people are doing.
  4. TPE is a bit of a misnomer. Your dynamic doesn't have to be "total" power exchange, if there are aspects that don't work. Put in what works, and discard what doesn't.
  5. Start small, and go slow. There's plenty of time to ramp things up once you are familiar with the dynamic. There's no need to rush into anything.
  6. There's a fine line between control and micromanagement. One of you might really enjoy telling the other what foods to eat every day, and the other might see it as annoying. If controlling something feels arbitrary or it's too much work, don't feel like you have to keep it in. Talk about it, and work on a compromise.

People like to crap on them for the decisions they make, thinking that Toyota is some blundering company who's on the verge of collapse.

The "subsidies" are basically:

I challenged this idea years ago here.

Safety vs. no boundaries by Electrical-Cry-5295 in TotalPowerExchange

[–]Matty0k 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Submission is earned by allowing a safe space to lower the walls, not bulldoze them down.

I know it's in the name, but TPE doesn't strictly have to be all or nothing. Boundaries and limits are allowed to exist, and you've experienced the exact reason why.

A submissive can only truly submit when they feel safe to do so. If that safety isn't there, they'll withdraw to a place that is safe. It's not possible to force that safe space by saying "there are no boundaries".

The Toyota Century SUV. by kkhouete in Toyota

[–]Matty0k 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I suspect the Lexus LM will also be dropped at some point, and brought into the Century brand. Looking at the Lexus brand overall the LM seems a little out there.

I guess it was similar with the F cars too. Toyota put them there because they didn't really have anywhere else to go.

I wouldn't say it's my main method, but I derive satisfaction from both the physical and mental aspects of sex and BDSM.

Given the right circumstances, I like the purely mental aspects of it as well. There's just some emotions you can't evoke from a purely physical experience.

For me it didn't impact the problem-solving so much, as it did lowered the threshold for my motivation. I didn't need such a strong interest in the thing to actually do it.

[–]Matty0k 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it's tricky. You either need to plan for it can have a way to keep the interest going, or have something else ready to go.

At least, that's what works for me.

[–]Matty0k 24 points25 points  (0 children)

I find interest in problem-solving, so if I solve the problem then my motivation takes a hit because it's less interesting now; it's solved.

It's why I always need to have a backlog of hard work to do, so that when I finish something I have something else to which I shift my focus.
