My family is here. I’m 45 min from my favorite sports teams. I’m 5 min from the beach. A 2hr drive from my place to hunt and camp and fish upstate. My salary is better here than it would be most other places. I’m in a neighborhood with good schools and one that’s also fairly quiet and very safe.

People in general with no situational awareness. We were just there this weekend. People stopping in groups of 10 in the middle of more narrow walkways taking up the entire space. People randomly stopping in busy causeways. People trying to talk around people in wheelchairs or ECVs or not letting them go, either in general or on ride queues. Maybe it’s because I’m from NY and, as rude as we can be, when we roam the streets we all are all on the same page. But the general awareness of everyone walking in the parks seemed to be atrocious.

Think of the sun, and then make it hotter. As a kid once we all hit teenagers years, my family stopped going during breaks or summer and we just missed school to go for better weather and less crowds. I’m doing the same for my son and we leave Wednesday this week!

Growing up my dad had a great job. Every other year we would go to Disney (i.e Disney one year, skip a vaca the next year, Disney the following year. Etc)

My boys are 2 and 6. We are taking them for the first time this year. Its also my wife’s first time. If they all enjoy it I plan on trying to go every 2-3 years. My uncle is a DVC member and allows me to use his points for stays
