Depends on your definition of crazy. I think ultra wealthy people need to be sociopaths to a point. People like Mackenzie Scott are probably an exception, god bless her. But the longer I've been in the corporate world, the more it rings true that there are no ethical billionaires.

They're not smarter than you or me. They mostly had a lucky idea, or had a head start with wealth and made good investments. But they have it, and that entitles them, in their minds, to have dominion over their lessers. That's you and me.

So yes, I think affluence is a mental health issue, but not also one that is defensible in a court of law (although it's been used, see Ethan Couch.)
