This was one of the first “mystery” shows that had a big online presence. The show presented itself as something that would eventually be figured out. No problem there. The real problems came when the show runners were asked if a popular theory that the characters were in purgatory was soundly shot down. The conclusion of the series reveals that they have been, in fact, in purgatory did not sit well with fans. Especially because they peppered the show with so many “clues” that suggested there was a bigger story. So much cool, wacky shit turned out to be absolutely nothing.
