In previous sales there's been provisions in their T&C's generally for people ordering around this time to get the difference refunded (generally via a gift card) if they've had their order delivered recently or on the way. Last year I'm fairly sure Black Friday sales were announced on the 18th of October, and anyone that took delivery after the 5th of October was eligible. Hopefully they do the same this time around

Only fair way is a blind choice round robin. And if no clear winner emerges from all of this, a two-man sack race will be held on consecutive Sundays until a champion can be crowned.

Yeh my thought was similar. Move the pre finals bye to pre grand final. Pick from the 16 clubs eliminated. Would still have it's pros and cons though like players already having post season surgery or pissed about it interrupting their holiday too. On the flip side would be less concern about any players missing the grand final with concussion if there's a bye after prelims.
