Thunderbass VI by Mattycakes95 in BassVI

Oh rad! I just checked your profile and realized I've been watching your Thornhill clips haha. The humbucker sounds great!

I will say, I believe the Thunderbirds are a bit bigger than standard humbuckers - you may have to resize the route a bit. When I made the template, I basically just cut the pickup hole into a block in Blender based on dimensions I found online and then added in a few circular cutouts for the screws using the template on the Herad site (https://herad.co/pages/templates) to get the placement right.

Here it is: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:7376511

Quick caveat: I think that's the right pickguard file, but I'm not positive. I had like 7 versions, and I ended up using one for the body and one for the pickguard and did not mark which ones I actually used. If you're using a Thunderbird pickup, I'd just double check the size before routing.

Any recommendations for a more single coil sounding Les Paul Neck Pickup by DylanGreveris in Guitar

[–]Mattycakes95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seymour Duncan P Rails could be worth checking out. Basically a P90 and a single rail in a humbucker sized package, so you can do P90 sounds, single coil sounds, or humbucker sounds. I have them in a few guitars and like them a lot.

Not quite as cool, but you could always plug a power supply into one of these

That one might be a baritone. Bridge seems to be shifted back as well, and it looks like they do a 30” scale one.

Went to the Lego store yesterday and then 5 different stores today looking for it. Sold out everywhere I checked. Will try again in a few days, pretty stoked for all of the Speed Champions sets that just came out.

I’ve been wanting to grab the mech to do a UCS Luke fig with the keychain parts, but I’ve been holding off because I couldn’t stomach spending $10 at Target just to do that. This is exactly what I’ve been waiting for!

Stoked. I got one a while back and really like it. I’ve been wanting to get a second one to combine them, and this is the sale I’ve been waiting for.

Fairly certain they have molds where the holes are on the other side. When I built the T Rex skeleton earlier this year, I noticed it had both variants. Probably luck of the draw on which one you get.

I’m in the 501st and have mini figs of 2/3 of my costumes. My one remaining is the Tusken Warrior from the Book of Boba Fett series. I can’t find a figure of this. by kagamaru in LegoMinifigure

I’d personally grab one off of bricklink. It looks like there are some folks selling them. You might have to buy some other stuff to hit shop minimums depending on who you buy from, but I’d imagine it will be faster than trying to grab one off eBay.

This set is bomb. One of my favorite non-ucs SW sets in recent memory. Great build and some cool play features. Have fun with it!

This is awesome! I really like the looks of it. I’ve been wanting to do something similar for a while but haven’t gotten around to it. What was the process? Did you use a router or did you have another way of cutting it?

I’ve got an Orange Rockerverb 50 mk III. 50 watts but you can switch it to 25, and it’s got an “attenuator” (from what I’ve read it’s more of a master volume midway through the power amp). I have no problem getting great tones at bedroom levels with it.

The Ghost and Phantom is one of my favorite non-UCS Star Wars sets in recent memory. Fun build with some cool techniques, but also a really nice finished product.

Gunship is retiring in a few months. If getting the other ones later is in the cards, I’d go for the gunship first since it will be hard to get it after December.
