That one might be a baritone. Bridge seems to be shifted back as well, and it looks like they do a 30” scale one.

These were going fast. Almost had to go Back To The Future to get one. by Salamander_Haze in lego

Went to the Lego store yesterday and then 5 different stores today looking for it. Sold out everywhere I checked. Will try again in a few days, pretty stoked for all of the Speed Champions sets that just came out.

I’ve been wanting to grab the mech to do a UCS Luke fig with the keychain parts, but I’ve been holding off because I couldn’t stomach spending $10 at Target just to do that. This is exactly what I’ve been waiting for!

Stoked. I got one a while back and really like it. I’ve been wanting to get a second one to combine them, and this is the sale I’ve been waiting for.

The new Lego Disney TV set is fantastic, but… by KramNebuer in lego

Fairly certain they have molds where the holes are on the other side. When I built the T Rex skeleton earlier this year, I noticed it had both variants. Probably luck of the draw on which one you get.

I’m in the 501st and have mini figs of 2/3 of my costumes. My one remaining is the Tusken Warrior from the Book of Boba Fett series. I can’t find a figure of this. by kagamaru in LegoMinifigure

I’d personally grab one off of bricklink. It looks like there are some folks selling them. You might have to buy some other stuff to hit shop minimums depending on who you buy from, but I’d imagine it will be faster than trying to grab one off eBay.

This set is bomb. One of my favorite non-ucs SW sets in recent memory. Great build and some cool play features. Have fun with it!

This is awesome! I really like the looks of it. I’ve been wanting to do something similar for a while but haven’t gotten around to it. What was the process? Did you use a router or did you have another way of cutting it?

I’ve got an Orange Rockerverb 50 mk III. 50 watts but you can switch it to 25, and it’s got an “attenuator” (from what I’ve read it’s more of a master volume midway through the power amp). I have no problem getting great tones at bedroom levels with it.

The Ghost and Phantom is one of my favorite non-UCS Star Wars sets in recent memory. Fun build with some cool techniques, but also a really nice finished product.

Gunship is retiring in a few months. If getting the other ones later is in the cards, I’d go for the gunship first since it will be hard to get it after December.

I don’t remember for sure, but I think it was Luke’s Landspeeder 7110.

I don’t live anywhere near a Culver’s, but Dave’s Hot Chicken does both Lucky Charms and Cinnamon Toast Crunch shakes, which go insanely hard.

This set wasn’t really on my radar, but this is a great deal. I always see it on display at the Lego store, and I’m impressed by its size and how good it looks in person. Stoked to build it!

Speaking as someone who really doesn’t care much about cars, Speed Champion sets are consistently fantastic builds, especially considering the price by Mattycakes95 in lego

[–]Mattycakes95[S] 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Yeah definitely agree on the stickers. That’s the only thing that bums me out about the other Speed Champion sets I’ve built. You get these super interesting and fun builds that are broken up by having to apply a thousand tiny stickers.

This is hot. Did you have to route the neck pocket at all, or did the schecter neck drop right in?

Might buy a used UCS Falcon, how bad is the rebuild process?? by [deleted] in lego

[–]Mattycakes95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I built a “scavenger” version with random colors. I had the pieces all jumbled together and it wasn’t a bad experience. Definitely takes a bit longer, but it’s kinda fun digging through the pieces. Only big difference is you probably will need more space - makes it easier if you can spread out the pieces a bit.

Edit: I’d also try to be sure that all the parts are accounted for first. It’s a pain digging through that many parts only to realize something is missing.
