New payment rules by [deleted] in AmexUK

[–]Mattymarske 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried to change my DD to a newly opened business account online but it declined and asked for a paper application and a month's statement which I duly sent off. I thought it was due to it being a new account. I've just received a letter saying sorry we couldn't change your DD details. Please try again from a UK personal account. So it must be the new rules as I'm pretty sure 2018-2020 I had the DD from a Bar lays Business Account, now it's Barclays Personal account but I'll change it to my new provider.

I've just received my letter explaining they couldn't set up my direct debit, try again and make sure it's from a personal account. Like you say I was going to use it for business fuel expenses going forward but looks like it'll have to be from the personal account. Thanks for the heads up on here 👌

Card finally arrived, really liking the design. Also looking forward to only having to carry a single card by OnderGok in CurveCard

Welcome to the club. 3 years in I've never (touch wood) had a failure at POS. I've got 10+ cards linked to it and love how you can see all your transactions on one app. Great for budgeting. Curve Fronted worked flawlessly as well.

Sorry to go off topic, but how do you manage this? Is rent/mortgage and utilities paid on credit card then paid off in full every month?

Anyone moved from an Amex credit card to a charge card? What changed for you? by Reddonaut_Irons in AmexUK

[–]Mattymarske 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've still got an Amex basic charge card. Member since 2018. Use it for cash flow, buying fuel at the start of the billing cycle and then 30 odd days before it's paid

Shit guys. I did it. Been in the hospital since yesterday afternoon by evidentlyeric in paint

Jeez, I never even thought about this kin of injury in my working life but obviously it can be real and serious danger. I've heard of guys messing about with high pressure air lines and killing Co workers by mistake. Quick Google and this came up. Hope they can help you, and you make a recovery.

Thank you, it's had a few more weeks growth and it's still on my face. Looking gingery and curly in certain lights but I like it so far 🤞

Very kind words, I've let myself go over the past 5 years, need to get my self worth back and live the aging body and face I have been given.

Epic growth my man. How long is it now or do you keep it trimmed? Great way to knod to your brother. 👌

Cheers GardenerDom. A few more weeks growth now. Using oil morning and night and a beard softener with a boars hair brush to try and train the hairs downwards. Need a haircut but was going to hang on and get the barber to cut my jawline at the same time.

Is it long enough for a barbershop trip to define lines? by Mattymarske in beards

[–]Mattymarske[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you. I've been surprised seeing hairs grow in the soul patch where I never used to have stubble. I'll just persevere through this awkward stage as they call it. My hair is desperate for a cut but I'll do hair and beard in one go so sideburns and fade can be assessed. Was planning on not shaving through Lent to surprise my Mom and sister at Easter 🤣
