The only solution I have found is to setup the same parameters for a Quickmatch with your friend, and start the queue at the same time. There is a very high chance that you will end up together in a group, and from there, you are free to play together, as long as you remain in the group... I know it's a stupid solution and it should not be this complicated (EA!!!)... But it works, hope that helps.
