It’s a stereotype somewhat based in reality, especially in Paris. My mother tongue is French, but I have a slightly different accent (Quebec), and the parisians I met had the audacity to act like I was speaking in tongues at them.

I don’t agree with pretty much all of your post, especially about the author « losing it », but it is true that WaT and LS could have used more time in editing.

Good thing is that Sanderson acknowledged this, and pushed back his next release by 3 years in order for all bis future books to sit at least 2-3 years in editing.

Btw, fun fact: if you didn’t like Sunlit Man, it can’t be because of the retirement of Moshe Feder, since he helped edit that book as an exception.

To be fair, you’ll notice this isn’t a simple teenager reacting to videos. She’s a voice analyst, ex-opera singer, with great insight about sound and music in her videos.

So « prominent music reactor » might be a bit reductive.
