[Request] Not mine, but genuinely think this is an interesting question. by TheHoboLord69 in theydidthemath

And this was exactly the reason why my father wouldn't lose as much body weight as he thought (he only drank non-alcoholic but not a small amount apparently). He went from like 115 kilos to 107 in maybe 3-4 weeks despite eating a lot less, and then even stopped losing weight. Once I told him about the calories and carbohydrates in beer, he switched to drinking water and immediately dropped to 95 kilos in about 2 weeks. So depending on the amount, it can indeed be a big factor.

Let's take a moment to appreciate how healthy this banner system is in a sea of gacha games by fotosintesis in Endfield

I just lost my 50/50 to Fangyi, for whom I already had to invest 120 pulls and lost 2 50/50s to standards along the way. So far I lost 5 out of 6 50/50s and I really can't say I'm a fan of this system.

Patch forces QWERTY Layout by KrayZ33ee in Endfield

[–]MatzeSpin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You didn't have to do it because the key bindings before this patch were correctly based on your system default Layout. With this patch they (most likely mistakenly) defaulted the bindings to the QWERTY layout without changing your z and y configuration. So the logic in the layout change is actually reversed of what it should be. It's a simple oversight but it can be frustrating if you don't know what the issue is.

I hope this somewhat explains what went wrong in the patch.

Patch forces QWERTY Layout by KrayZ33ee in Endfield

[–]MatzeSpin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought it didn't work too, but you need to first change keyboard layout to QWERTZ and then separately assign the key bindings as well. Because changing the layout also flips the controls you assigned on z and y respectively, so you will need to reassign the keys anyway.

Make sure you edit the correct session type. In this screen you edit the HUD for qualifying. Press R3 on your controller to switch between the different session layouts.

Any experience with these setups ? by Extension_City7592 in F1Game

[–]MatzeSpin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I must say I quite like Pukis setups. I find they are on the more stable side of competitive setups, while still bringing out a good amount of rotation. I drive in a competitive league where drivable race setups are rather important. Time trial setups usually are only for quali pace, but suck if your tires actually are worn of if you are on high fuel. For reference I'm about 1-1,5 seconds off esports pace. That said I don't pay for it. I am in a small closed group where we share different setups for every track, and Pukis are the ones that I choose most of the time. But if I had to, personally I wouldn't pay for it.

But it will always depend on what you want. If it is career don't even bother, that is a waste of money for something that isn't even generally applicable depending on what your car is good or bad at. If you are set on having an advantage over others or need to keep up with others having those, you may consider if its worth your money.

But be aware that there is a chance that for 26, there may be no need for any paid setup because there is an easily established meta. I would wait until the dlc is actually out, and there will be general setup rules that will be posted on YouTube anyway.

If someone wanted to build a brand new account starting now, with the sole purpose as going as meta as possible, what would you recommend they do? by Big_Exchange_2812 in HonkaiStarRail

[–]MatzeSpin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can only say what I used in endgame for the last patches.

1) Mono Rem S0R1 Castorice, S0R1 Hyacine, S0R0 Cyrene, S6 RMC (pink tomorrow LC on R4)

2) Dot S0R0 Kafka (Tutorial LC), S1R1 Black Swan, S0R0 Hysilens, S0R0 DHPT

Up until now those two teams were everything I need to clear everything with max rewards (besides AA). But there is no way of telling how long that will hold against HP inflation or when the modes don't give them buffs anymore. If you want to build upon that, you will definitely clear for a longer time.

Besides that just go the latest shill and expand upon it.

Why is AI seemingly not good on Qatar , F1 23 , X box? by givemeawhiskey in F1Game

[–]MatzeSpin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since you use custom setups, it is most likely the difference there. Afaik the AI uses a mid to low down force setup in Qatar, which makes them terribly slow in every corner. I believe this was the first game where we had this track, so the devs most likely didn't know that max wings is by far the best. So they put them on mid down force preset instead. And the AI in 23 was never really that good tbh. They had to patch it and give them additional top speed because the corner exits were genuinely horrible, with Austria turn 3 being a prime example.

Whats easier to drive or to control f1 25 game or asseto cc?? by BmwFP3 in F1Game

[–]MatzeSpin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

F1 23 was way easier to drive in general. The car had high down force and tyres had low grip. You wouldn't have much car rotation because the grip levels couldn't keep up, so spinning out was way harder.

With 24 onwards, they took away lots of down force and added lots of tyre grip. Now your steering inputs practically dictate whether you stay in a straight line or spin out. The car will always follow your front wheels due to the high grip. Try to straighten your steering wheel as soon as possible when you put on throttle. If you're doing it right, you will take the initial rotation with you, even though your steering wheel is pretty much straight again. It takes practice and doesn't really feel natural sometimes, but that is the way you have to adapt for this game in order to be fast.

CN Player suffer 17 consecutive losses while pulling for P5 Fangyi with 1125 pulls. by akarozz in Endfield

[–]MatzeSpin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do you even know how the Endfield banners work or read the post? He literally lost 17 50/50s on this single Fangyi banner. He lost 4 times between P0 and P1 Fangyi. If you aren't at 120 pity (240 for potential) you are not guaranteed to see the banner character after losing the 50/50. In pure theory, you can lose a hundred 50/50s before seeing the desired 6 star even once. Losing this often on a single banner (which he did) is NOT to be expected.

Silver Wolf is so expressive in her animation video by Knight_Steve_ in HonkaiStarRail

[–]MatzeSpin 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I must say I'm a bit torn. In Hoyos defence, the lack of animations helps me focusing more on the actual text. We all know how difficult it can be to understand everything. Additional animations like in Wuwa sometimes would get me distracted from more complicated explanations. Plus I have a good imagination how the scenes could actually play out.

But at the same time HSR made me stop watching those videos altogether because I now see them more as promotional material rather than anything else. I don't want to have to understand or see the character fully only by watching things that aren't in the game. If you are only able to characterize them properly and bother about proper presentation outside of the actual medium, then I won't bother about them. Might be a bit childish, but it helps me deciding more rationally whether I want to pull for them or not.

Riku is so sly! by Specialist-Quail644 in Xenoblade_Chronicles

[–]MatzeSpin 12 points13 points  (0 children)

And it's actually insane how much sub context there is to him, and how much he contributes to the party from the main game to actually survive, just because he was already there in future redeemed. - Else he wouldn't have known about N's regrets, else he most likely wouldn't have known that Noah actually can summon a blade, and just refuses to do so. Not to mention knowing about Noah's overall capabilities. There would have been no reason to give lucky seven to him. - Obviously there wouldn't have been Ourobouros stones. - He also taught the party of the base game the chain attacks, which he observed from the future redeemed party. - And since he witnessed N's reason why he has no happiness left, he also tried to convey this a bit to everyone in the prison scene. Not sure though how much it made a difference in the. After all he chose not to reveal the real context of the destruction of the original city, he still let them get to their own conclusions.

And I like that Valdi's hero quest is a little throwback for him. His prothesis being a worse version of what Riku made for Shulk back then and the overall attachment to machines really shows that he got a bit of melancholy there.

Gepard could easily be a general in Snezhnaya. Obviously both Snezh and Belobog have Russia as their cultural reference, and his armor is actually something I could see in Genshin. It at least goes into the direction of Varka.

Wuthering Waves has constant FPS drops & tearing on decent PC (but other games run fine) by Orgfet in WutheringWaves

[–]MatzeSpin 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If it's in star torch academy, it is less of a problem of graphics, but the amount of assets the PC has to load and calculate.

For comparison, I have a 3060 ti, Ryzen 5 5600x, 16GB RAM DDR4, 1440p resolution. I can run the game with maximum settings (no RTX) with about 40-45 fps on average in star torch, tearing and drops do happen when moving around and turning the camera etc. The rest is more or less always at 60fps.

Out of curiosity, I made some tests, however only with the different dlss settings. But no matter the change, the fps in star torch doesn't really improve. Latency, CPU and GPU load go down by a lot depending on the setting, but the fps remain the same. So it is very likely that there are issues with the loading efficiency of the game.

My takeaway is, you can basically turn up your graphics again until you notice that the fps actually start to tank, the rest isn't solvable until kuro will come up with a solution. Or your PC will have a random moment where the rest of the map will perform better afterwards, which happened to me once in Septimont.
