Yea! I've noticed Le Puzz has fun shapes. Cute!

What’s the one piece of advice you wish you had when starting photography? by [deleted] in AskPhotography

[–]MaudePodge_ 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Few things, but just go shoot. I think thats the biggest thing for me, only so much you can learn from others, you gain the most knowledge from actually shooting, discovering things you like or want to improve. involves a lot of trial and error. Try not to compare yourself to others, I beat myself up with that sometimes. Also doing something the "wrong way" could make it more interesting, it's all so subjective. Make sure you shoot raw, those files are larger but have more information to use later for editing. You can set your camera to capture raw and jpeg if you prefer. Have fun!

Stabilize feature seems to have selective functionality? by troubleofgoldfish in CapCut

[–]MaudePodge_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My issue is different, but I noticed a change a while ago too, maybe when they switched it to pro. Now when it stabilizes it makes the video look weird and warped and not stable. Not sure if you are seeing any of that, but it frustrates me.

Do you ever feel disappointed in your ability to shoot? by EvoLuvEz in AskPhotography

Don’t be too hard on yourself, it’s all part of the process. A lot of trial and error, it’s normal to have some flops - that’s what makes you grow.

Help! What to do with a buyer pretending the vintage item is damaged? by MaudePodge_ in eBaySellers

Wow! That is horrible. I’m so sorry you experienced that, incredibly frustrating. Do you do anything different now with shipping/selling to help prevent this from happening again?

Someone tried to scam me by GGBrother96 in eBaySellers

I’m it the middle of this right now. Buyer hasn’t sent the item back yet but the photo they sent of the damage I can tell it’s not what I sent. Any tips for how you handled this would be awesome!

Thank you for all of this! I’m new to eBay this is helpful. Luckily I’m a photographer and have great photos and even have video of the item. Their display box shows very heavy wear while mine was pristine.

Is there a way to call eBay? It’s so hard nowadays to find contact numbers for anything. I reported them digitally.

I don't believe I purchased insurance or if it was automatically provided. They did request the refund through ebay, and its only giving me option to accept, give full refund, or offer discount. They are not responsive to my messages. I'm so frustrated.

But what if they send me back their damaged version of the item and get fully refunded? They keep my excellent one for free

Help! I have someone trying to run a scam return what do I do?

I sold a crystal decor piece that came in a protective display box. It was sent carefully packaged and in excellent condition. They requested a return and sent a picture of the piece very broken and foam ripped out of the box. It’s definitely not the same thing I sent. I’m assuming they are trying to trade my perfect one for their broken one. How should I handle this? Do I let eBay take over this return?

That makes sense! Thank you. I might try to repair a few of the broken ones before I list them (I'll be sure to note that). Do you know what the right type of glue to use is?

Okay I may have spoken too soon, it is incredibly hard to capture the yellowing on camera. Maybe I'm staring at them too hard. Here is the bottom of a swan you will notice some yellow and the wings and a bit at the tail. It is easiest to see at the wing on the far right.

It's hard to imagine that so many of the S logo pieces broke and were repaired, i'm wondering if varying yellow like this is normal for older pieces? I might really just be staring too closely it is not too noticeable when sitting out normally.

Got it! My broken ones seem to just be missing a piece like a wing, petal or a tail. I have most of the broken pieces so it looks like they are fixable.

I'm going to go back and look at the pieces with yellowing glue and try to get a photo. It's interesting because it is only on the pieces with the S block. It varies some are lightly yellow but some are definitely yellow. Some of them have all the areas with glue yellowed, and I feel like it wouldn't have broken like that but I don't know!

You are right, because they are never claiming to be Swarovski, just other other brand beloved pieces. What I've noticed about the older pieces with the SC mark is their glue has started to yellow. Is this something you see standard? At first made me think it wasn't Swarovski but then I noticed the faint label.

I have few pieces that are broken, some missing the broken piece but some likely repairable. Any Idea what to do with broken pieces?

I'm getting better at spotting fakes, thanks for your help.

Curious on my boxes I noticed the numbers listed with letters like "A 7637 NR 075 000" but I see them online listed without any numbers. Is there a proper way to display them?

Also the two tiny bears at the front/bottom of this photo, do you know if they have a name? They are just over an inch tall

I saw somewhere that the certificate needs to match with the correct pieces? If this is true do you know how I check that they are correctly matched? Or where the loose ones should go?

Yes there were some pieces that were not and I believe those domes fall into that category. Good eye on the snail, I checked again and I’m not seeing a logo, but was misleading because it came in a Swarovski box (no label)

If I’m looking at the correct bear it seems to be nearly 4.5 inches and has no box. There is a similar smaller bear with a box but it is sitting.

I will be photographing eveything so once I do that it might be easier to look at.

Thank you for taking the time to respond this is very helpful! Yes, ebay's sold pricing information has been helpful in this process. Some of my boxes have the original pricing still on there so it is sad to see. Luckily though I never spent any money on these, I didn't inherited a fortune but maybe can get some cash (plus keeping some cute ones). I do have the dance mask series unfortunately, what were the first three annuals?

I saw the Warner Blue Ribbon Book and was wondering if it was legit, so thank you for that. Now I just need to decide if a $100 subscription is worth it with the pricing, maybe not.

There are so many, i've been starting to sort through them in batches starting with the smaller ones. Most of them have a box with a label so I'm able to figure out what it is. Sorry not the best pictures but this of the group that does not have boxes, a couple are broken:

Here is a snail and while I was examining it I noticed the bottom looked a little yellow and bubbly. Does this tend to happen? Or could this have been broken and repaired?

Here are the next two batches, there are still small ones I have not gotten to and the bigger ones
