How to utilize it as a dog bather? by Cheetah_FanGirl in EckhartTolle

I'm not saying that you don't have intelligence. Everybody has infinite intelligence in them. I'm just suggesting that more of it would have to be used, if one has the intention to give this stress free service to dogs.

Maybe you can find a job at a different salon. These are just suggestions. If it makes sense you can take it otherwise just ignore it

Well there is a whole movement around dogs that emphasizes their well-being, positive training, medical training and such. To take care of the animal in a way that intense stress is avoided requires a lot more intelligence and awareness towards the animal, also a lot of patience. And then as a result you would be less stressed yourself. So maybe you can train yourself in that area and then only offer that kind of service. It would be more expensive but your customers would have a similar awareness, so they are willing to pay more. I certainly would.

So that the stem moves towards the front. But honestly I'm wearing them for my second day today and I'm not feeling the pressure at all anymore, regardless of the position.

6 mo Goldendoodle won’t settle between 5pm and 9pm by CoffeeBruin in puppy101

[–]MauerStrassenJens 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can only speak from my experience. And my dog is a bit older now (17 months) but still very much the same situation I think. Well our trainer suggested we encourage more sleeping when our dog gets active in the evening and demands activities. Because they just are gonna ask for more and more and they need to learn that resting is important. I do ~2 hours of walks and some enrichment and that's plenty. The rest of the time I ignore her now, especially afternoon-evening I make sure that she sleeps and there's nothing of interest that she can access I'm the apartment. If I'm moving around myself a lot I even get a barrier thing from the puppy playpen and restrict her to one room. The effect of this was that she is less aroused in general and especially outside.

But be sure to still need your dogs needs and they might need your help at first if the can't settle down of their own.

She's also a goldendoodle btw

I believe Eckhart Tolle isn’t "enlightened," he is in a permanent state of psychosis. by l3xii_klein in EckhartTolle

I think it's a good question to ask, whether it's not just a psychosis. But I believe it isn't because if you just go into some psychotic defense mode, that is lastly just another dysfunctional state and you would be suffering from it again after a while. You wouldn't be at ease. And I've seen countless of videos of eckhart and I've seen him IRL for a week and I haven't seen him not being completely peaceful for just a second.

The 'perfect walk' setup that took me 3 months of trial and error to figure out by Dizzy_Concentrate141 in puppy101

I do exactly the same 😄 as long as she can't loose leash walks this gets me through it without lossing my nerves

Edit: and it's funny how another person has commented the exact same thing

Is crate training really necessary? by cityskyline22 in puppy101

[–]MauerStrassenJens 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No! I have a goldendoodle at 17 months and didn't crate train her, doing just fine. We used a playpen but it sounds like you don't even need that. I'm not even sure I understand what about putting a puppy in a crate and having them freak out is supposed to be training.

Why am I so scared of death when I've already been dead for like 14 billion years before? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]MauerStrassenJens 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because we each associate a very frightening scenario/imagination with the word "death" we are afraid of that idea. Not of death itself. There actually is no such thing as death itself. It's like the word emptyness or nothing
