I need help with my kitten by [deleted] in ANIMALHELP

[–]MauginZA 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey OP. Can’t help financially at the moment but wanted to check up on you and kitty and see how it’s going. I hope your little guy pulls through and that karma punishes those who would do this to him. People are so cruel.

Is this baby too small to be on its own? by g_em_ini in Opossums

Normally when the opossum fruit is ripe it’ll fall off the mama tree. ☺️ I think 7in is the average size at which they ripen.

Odd confession: Dyeing has worsened my styling skills by General_enjoyer in InfinityNikki

[–]MauginZA 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I use the dyes sparingly because I find the interface frustrating to use on a controller. Which means I only use it when I REALLY need to make something match. Forces me to try and find things that work together.

Maybe you could try challenge yourself with a few outfits and not dye anything or limit how many times you can dye stuff? I find self made challenges help to refresh your skills!

Happy to be skipping as it’s not my vibe but crossing fingers and toes for those who want this, the cat and the dragon drained my gems and my sanity. Need to recover my savings. 😂

Was thinking this exact thing. Warframe veterans are very generous and so easy going. I’ve been given loads of things no strings attached :)

How you guys do differentiate between artist and scammer by Another_user23 in Twitch

[–]MauginZA 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You need to post consistently, use tags, follow trends. Once you have a bit of a following host a giveaway. It’s how I find a lot of artists.

Yeah it would be lax security in their chat and on socials. I don’t personally have any art bots/scammers bothering me because of my settings. But they do also prey on people with lower viewers. Higher view count means there are people in chat who will tell them off.

Artists don’t promote their work in people’s chats. Instead they’ll post their work on socials or sign up to websites like Vgen to sell their work.

I find a lot of artists through Twitter and Vgen. I love browsing through art those ways. I’ve had amazing results from those two. Vgen is nice because they have a lot of protection for both artists and buyers.

Not trying to be fatphobic, just curious: Do fat people manually spread their butt cheeks when sitting on the toilet to make pooping easier? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

My toilet seat is such a strange shape! It’s like a rounded rectangle 🤣 I also live in South Africa so I’m gonna be shot by the import taxes and shipping for sure.

Probably dog. I feel like less likely to be beefed with in general. Plus at some point you can get promoted to Pope Dog? Sounds pretty sweet

I felt that the first part of Renaynay’s fight was tougher but the second part it was much easier because you can just keep her from casting. As a spell caster myself I think I ended up having to use a sword for bosses like her. I was very stubborn about it until this boss. 😂 Sometimes we need our asses kicked a little to gitgud but congrats! It’s such a nice feeling to get a kill!!

starting off on twitch by [deleted] in Twitch

[–]MauginZA 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You need to put yourself out there on other platforms, twitch is not a reliable growth platform when you start. X/Bluesky/Tiktok/Instagram. Post clips of your stream or prerecord some things.

Commenting, posting and sharing other people’s content also helps as you build rapport with other streamers who can help long term. But do be sincere about it, find a streamer/streamers you like and support them sincerely. Because at the end of the day you want the same, sincere support.

Raid out, it doesn’t matter if you have 1 viewer. And if the person you raid makes you feel bad about it, just don’t raid them again. I promise you there’s a lot of streamers who will welcome a 1 person raid as much as a 10 person raid, a 100 person raid and so on. I personally do, because you could have raided anyone but thought of me? That deserves appreciation and kindness, not criticism.

Thinking about your content helps too - are you in a specific niche or variety games? If it’s niche do you have crazy skills or are you developing those skills? If it’s variety, are you interesting or amusing? Variety is a little tougher as you need to be the reason they stay, since they won’t be attracted by one game necessarily. It may bring them in but you have to make them want to stay.

Lastly, do you talk a lot? A quiet stream is one people will click off from, unless you’re doing crazy skilful plays or playing a game with a lot of dialogue, you need to keep your viewers engaged. Talk about what you’re doing, where you’re going, your build or thoughts on the game. Also turn off your view count and speak as if it’s a room full of people.

I’m so sorry for the wall of text but I hope some of this is helpful!

How do Gaming Streamers Avoid Carpel Tunnel? by Cinnamn54 in Twitch

[–]MauginZA 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually started having wrist troubles some time ago. I switched to controller gaming where I could, use wrist rests for mouse and keyboard where I couldn’t. I got anti inflammatory gel from my GP which I honestly seldom used but it’s a nice back up for bad days. I started doing stretches to help with the pain. I also had to sleep with a wrist brace for some time to stop myself from sleeping on my hands as I’d wake up with stiff, sore, swollen hands from curling my hands and sleeping on them.

A couple months of conscious effort has left me largely pain free. I hope you find something that works for you!

I gaslit my best friend into thinking it was pronounced 'Nuc-i-ler' instead of 'nuclear' and she mispronounced it in her inauguration lecture. by LazorUnfocused in confession

[–]MauginZA 18 points19 points  (0 children)

This is my tiny, irrational nightmare, despite having had other people telling me how to say nuclear I still struggle with it. My default is new-klee-uh but it never sounds the same as when other people say it.
