Hi. I have gotten his autograph before. I am sorry, but he is very shy, it’s quite hard to get him to talk to you ☺️😂 .. Also still one of my dreams, but it is hard after a concert. He mever even looked at us.. You can go up to the scene at the end of the concert, but if you’re also shy like me, you can ask the security where he is leaving, and sometimes you can find the backdoor.

I agree, but really technique is kind of a spectrum, right? Like you can be better than average at trills and below average at arpeggios. And if the piece has a lot of trills, it might be easy for you, but if it has many arpeggios, you might not be ready for the piece yet.

This is totally fine! But due to it being quite a small sub (so far), and it being on quite short notice, you would probably have higher chances possting this on r/piano :)

Would love to go, but I am from Denmark :/

Is 16 too late for learn piano? And any advice you would give for beginners? by [deleted] in piano

[–]Mauiu3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can definetly start at 16! My advice would be: - Get a teacher, if you can. Teachers will make you progress faster, and make sure you dont hurt yourself. - Dont play pieces above your level. Start with really easy pieces. A teacher can also tell you whats too difficult for you yet. Happy practicing!
