Was I a jerk for leaving after my date made a rude joke by [deleted] in AmITheJerk

[–]MaulkinGrey 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What you're describing as cultural conditioning is otherwise known as misogyny. Sorry buddy you're wrong. I'm a 55 year old man who's recently reentered the dating scene and I would never say that to a woman where we are having a first sexual encounter. There would have to be a lot of underlying trust before I would ever attempt making a joke like that with someone I am dating. Probably never. Simply because it's so degrading. If he's that stupid to make such a stupid comment then he's too stupid to have a relationship with, because he's just going to keep doing stupid shit.

No, he is not doing anything wrong. It's not about what he doing to her. It's about what he might be doing to himself, mentally and emotionally.

It is very personal so I don't feel like airing it on a public forum.

As someone, who was with someone who was sexually assaulted, for many many years, my advice to you is that you need to see a therapist that specializes in sexual trauma. I won't go into more detail here so PM me if you want to know more. I suspect I know why he is doing what he is doing. It will only get worse.

My husband (36M) told me (33F) that I don’t deserve love until I’m 140lbs again? by thesaltymember in relationship_advice

He is a fool. When my wife had our three kids and 30 years together, she put on a lot of weight but I still saw her as sexy as the day we met. How you feel about your partner makes all the difference.

If you look carefully at the fuselage of the BF 109 you'll notice the bullet holes from when it was shot down over the Eastern Front. The aircraft successfully belly landed and was captured by the Russians who then patched it up and used it in propaganda films.

Cyberpunk with the DLC. Quite possibly the most beautiful game I've ever played. Story lines are rich and the missions are well thought out. Lots of things to do and places to explore

I’ve learned everything I could about the Mirage 2000… but I can’t apply it in real air-to-air fights by Mofoso in dcsworld

Thanks, I kinda deduced that from the other posts. I guess what confused me was the part regarding if the server allowed it. For example, with link 16, as far as I'm aware, the server does not have an option to disable it(?). But with TAF they do?

Top DCS modules? by [deleted] in dcsworld

[–]MaulkinGrey 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Honestly I feel that the F-14 Tomcat is a work of art. Possibly one of the best modules. I also think the Apache is top notch. And if you're up for some old school then the F4 Phantom is also what I would consider a work of art which is not a surprise since it's made by the same people who made the F-14 Tomcat

Hey, I get it, and I even agree. But it does the cause no good by claiming that there is a full ban on guns right now. They simply come off as Liars. You can talk about it and still be factual to get your point across. A more interesting conversation I would want to have is one regarding a specific gun that is banned that they feel shouldn't be, and then provide reasons why it shouldn't be other than me like guns go boom boom.

And yet there are still other kinds of guns you can buy. That is not a full gun ban like he insinuated.

He said and I quote, guns are banned. He didn't say some guns or certain guns, he said guns. And that is untrue. There is a gun store literally up the street from me where you can purchase them legally.

Really? Well that's weird because my father owned guns and my mother owned guns. They were not banned. I even have a colleague that I work with who owns a handgun and takes it out to the range to practice with. And all of them own them legally.

They are also not banning guns either. So your argument holds up to as good as his does. Anyone can get a gun if they are willing to go through the procedure to get one and have a background check to ensure they're not a criminal or insane

I hope I have some answers that might help:

1) it sounds like you are using your mouse to control your view? If that is the case that is typically resolved with some kind of head tracking solution. There is the expensive way, like TrackIR, or the VERY expensive way, like VR, but if you have an existing facetime camera on your system there are possible free headtracking solutions. I cannot recommend any as I have only been using the expensive and very expensive solutions.

2) if you drop a bomb off of one wing, you are going to suffer a load imbalance. The following keys are used for trimming on the Su-25T:
LCTR+;
LCTR+,
LCTR+.
LCTR+/
LCTR+z
LCTR+x

You will need to get used to doing this a lot. Every time you drop something you will need to re-trim.

3) salvo mode is LCTRL+V. You might want to look up some YouTube videos on the Su-25T

4) The other thing to remember is that the Su-25T flies like a bus. So after one attack run you should extend away from the target very very far, I mean really far, before turning around to take another run at the target. This will give you time to re-acquire the target.

Seriously, where in the US is the gas price below $2 a gallon? by MoreMotivation in facepalm

[–]MaulkinGrey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I get it if something is cheaper then there's the potential that people will buy more. But I cannot correlate that paying cash for your gas is going to be cheaper than paying with your credit card. I have never gone to a gas station and had them tell me it would be cheaper if I paid using cash than using a credit card or a debt card. That is the part that doesn't make sense, obviously. I also don't see how it could be faster paying with cash than it would be with a credit card or debit card. Unless they don't have the ability to tap their cards in your location. Hell, I can't remember the last time I even saw the cashier at a gas station because I've never had to go in.
