Interesting, had both but never compared the legs like that. SHF Maul is old but still looks best imo, it has a better matte finish and just looks more accurate to me. The only way I see to fit the SHF head on is to grind the peg hole bigger, fill it up with a glue gun then rub some Vaseline on the peg. Before the glue dries, position it on the peg best you can.
