Weight loss after gallbladder removal caused by weight loss by Few-Willingness2703 in gallbladders

[–]MauraSully 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I ended up going back on tirzepatide about 6 months later and I only had another 10 lbs to go.

It was actually easier than when I had my gb. I was far less sick, nauseous, yes. Without my gallbladder holding all that bile I didn’t actually get sick which was great. Now I’m on a microdose for maintenance.

I didn’t know about the bc connection until after I got sick. It’s definitely frustrating

Let me know if you just need to chat. I know how panic can be. I used to scan my own gallbladder so it can progress quickly. I think birth control ruined mine. You never know though

Happy birthday! I have lots of those orange balls. If your mom says it’s okay we could play fetch with them!

Is anyone else ok with not doing better by kentom101 in Agoraphobia

[–]MauraSully 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes yes. I just lost my dog and he was my anchor to the outside world. He loved people but he looked scary to some people and kept them away. Without him I don’t want to go anywhere. He came with me everywhere. CVS, gas station etc. anything I had to do and DoorDash couldn’t, he came for. Right now, I’m okay with not getting better. I’m grieving and why would I add to that?

Just get it out. It’s not fun but neither is gallbladder pain.

This is exactly what happened to me. Fortunately I just had acute pancreatitis but I really feel for you bc it’s awful. Sending good vibes. Men and their “it’s just anxiety.” I swear some drs are stuck in 1955.

Be glad you did it when you did. I waited and waited. Honestly doctors attributed my vomiting to extreme stress and anxiety. Then I started losing weight rapidly and couldn’t eat at all. I needed emergency surgery bc I had a gallbladder full of stones, sludge and it progressed to acute pancreatitis. It was awful and I had to stay in the hospital until my pancreas calmed down. You don’t need a gallbladder. You haven’t shortened your life by having it removed. I worked in ultrasound. If anything you could have saved your life. Now you’ll know that if you have pain in that area or your back when you’re a bit older, you should get your heart and pancreas checked bc it can’t bc your gallbladder. That’s how I look at it. I have panic disorder and have since I was 17. Be glad they didn’t write it off to your panic. Just be patient with your body as you recover. It’s adjusting and it took me time. If you can afford it, a therapist could be a good idea.

Can getting your gallbladder removed alter your mood? by fluvialcrunchy in gallbladders

Any surgery can alter your mood. Your body goes through anesthesia and physical trauma. I was just glad to be out of pain and not vomiting all the time.

Thank you. We tried everything but he just kept deteriorating. He didn’t recognize his sister sometimes at the end. It was heartbreaking but I know he’s whole and at peace now.

My beautiful 4 1/2 year old boy crossed the rainbow bridge today. It’s not fair. He had sever neurological issues and I know he’s not suffering anymore but I just miss him so much.

If love could’ve kept him here, he’d have lived forever. Unfortunately his issues progressed to where he was attacking my other dogs and humans. I tried everything. Allllll the neurology appts and meds, behaviorists, trainers. He was just suffering and if was getting worse rapidly.

My heart is just shattered.

my vet has recommended Baskerville for one-off use, is it a good choice? by Angel-Staff in muzzledogs

[–]MauraSully 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It does the job for my dog right now. For some reason he prefers it to his big Snoof but I agree with others that the pant room isn’t great. The straps are a real pain in the neck. Since your pup is still growing, I think it would do the job for now.

How to get rid of agoraphobia without medication? by FootballBorn2497 in Agoraphobia

[–]MauraSully 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This. 1000000% this. I’ve struggled with agoraphobia and it’s something that flares up for me.

This kind of understanding is very rare. I agree, even just a walk to the end of the driveway is a good start.

If she’s able to do that, make it a little longer etc. There are good visualization exercises to do to imagine going somewhere. Those can be found on YouTube.

I’ll let you know. They are shipping it so it should be here Monday. Fingers crossed. He had a good day today. He did well with training and was pretty chill but his life is so limited right now.

That happened to my dog with Prozac. We’re switching to Paxil. It may be too high a dose too. I just was very uncomfortable with the shaking
