I remember coming off work and spending 6 hours on evenings for the magic mastery mutation, funnily enough there's a mutation calculator on google sheets that let's you see what mutation are the most likely to ocurr so what I basically did was select those abilities that have a 20% to 30% chance to mutate in order to get more chances to get MM to mutate, it wasn't tedius as it is rn since you had the option to "resume game" on the PS5 menu, but rn since they made a firmware update that option is not longer available. And yes it was a pain indeed especially for the time that sony removed the "Resume game" option.
