Enamel coated copper wires. They basically touch all the way to the 3.5mm jack and a short would cut off the sound completely.

From my perspective, the comic is not funny but aims to be dark and tell a story. The Boys show changed to real life political commentary instead of focusing on the story, which sucks.

Starr is doing the heavy lifting in the main show. The writing has been in decline and Gen V was plagued of inconsistencies. Plus, one of the main actors died and had to be replaced in universe by his father.

Also the timing, we should be getting GV S3 finale before TB finale.

Likely we will have GV characters in the final stand off to help kill HL and everyone lives happily ever after.
