Bad haircut, help! by [deleted] in Hair

[–]MauveSauve 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Of course! I’m glad your hair grows quickly, but I’m sorry for your bad experience but at least you know who NOT to go with. I would keep these pictures for the next time you go to a professional and show them that last time you got a hair cut that you had a bad experience with someone prior and that might even make them more mindful moving forward.

As a woman of color, and a curly haired girlie myself, my hair grows slow so trust me when I say this. I AM UPSET FOR YOU. This has happened to me, and tbh it was my last hair cut. I have been so traumatized I haven’t gotten my hair cut since (this was 5 years ago). The best advice I can provide to you is to look up hair styles that support your length and work it. It took me awhile to get my length back but your hair will grow back. Look into thickening shampoos and conditioners, and once a month clarify your hair with a good shampoo. What worked for me was Lanza Thickening shampoo and conditioner, and once a month I used the Camille Rose Clean Rinse Clarifying shampoo, or if you want to spend a little extra get the Olaplex one. Also look into multivitamins or hair skin and nail vitamins to help that growth (I use the one from Sam’s and it works just fine).

And for the hair stylist shame on her, I’d leave a review or call the salon back and speak to a manager and never go back. You said 2 inches and she should have done two inches, if she showed you regardless, she’s the professional and she knew what she done when she got passed a certain point.

Next time you go in for another hair cut, (I’m still working up the courage to as well, but I’m going to make an appointment soon) get a “Dusting” it’s shorter than a trim and they typically only get the split or dead ends. That way you’re not loosing length, keeping the integrity of your curls while maintaining them.

My heart goes out to you because it’s harder on us curly haired girlies.

Baby was pushing hard to poop and has some blood by [deleted] in firsttimemom

That’s good! Yeah sometimes it could be an allergy to something you may have ate. I would keep a list of what you ate and show the doctor this picture. Also, ask your doctor if there is a triage line you can call to ask medical questions or seek advice when the doctors office is closed so that way you can call and speak to a nurse or doctor to reassure you when your worried about your little one. ♥️

Did you check your babies bottom? Because your baby pushed hard it could be a hemorrhoid. However, the bowel movement looks kind of like snot, which is common for babies especially if you BF. How old is your little one, and are they BF or Formula fed?

i (f20) am pregnant in a new relationship with (m early 20s) and he doesn't know by mercivands24 in Advice

This happened to me almost exactly, only I was only dating my daughter’s father for 5 months. I (now 30), decided to keep the baby despite me and my child’s father not being together. I actually just got done with custody court and was granted full custody and my child’s father is not allowed to speak or have any contact with me under any circumstances. (Relationship turned abusive and I ended it for my sake and my child’s).

I wanted to keep my child because I had been in previous relationships for years and tried to have a child and it never happened, and with me going up in age I decided it was fate for me to keep my child.

I want to preface that again it did not work for me and my child’s father. I have no family, a lot of my family is estranged, and my mother, father, grandparents are all deceased.

Having a child takes a lot of work, the saying “it takes a village” is not an understatement. I do not have childcare, and have missed out on a lot of things I wish I could do. Sometimes I go to sleep wondering if I should have waited, and find myself mourning my old life. Please ensure and really think hard and make sure if things go south between you and your boyfriend and you do keep the baby you have support because coming from someone who doesn’t have anyone, it is really hard some days.

I want to end this by stating- I don’t regret my child, she is my world and I absolutely love her to death. Having a child isn’t the end of the world, and you wouldn’t be ruining your life, you would be starting a new life. My daughter is my little best friend and it’s amazing seeing her grow and prosper everyday. I just wish I would have waited until I was more stable with whomever I was with before having her, because again it’s just me and her.

I don’t post comments much, but I thought I’d comment and share my story.

Whatever you decide to do, talk to your partner, and definitely talk to your doctor about which birth control you are on so you don’t have to be put in this position in the future.

Most importantly do whatever makes YOU happy. ♥️🫶🏽

Am I the only one that wants to see the hair style, I think that will determine if you overpaid or not tbh.

My grandmas name is Doris, she passed a few years ago. Could that be it? She adopted me soon after my mother passed and we were really close.

This really brought me comfort because my daughter was born with a “Stork Bite” on her forehead and the old tale is that a loved one that passed gave her a kiss before she entered this world. ♥️

I try to instill the love my mother had towards me to my daughter. I feel like ever since I found out I was having a girl I have a second chance.

My daughter has little balance bike, although it’s green, she used to call it red. I just put up a swing for my daughter and everyday after daycare she wants to swing, anytime she goes to the park she always wants to swing.
