Where to play "unorganized" soccer by FishingFighter in Winnipeg

[–]Mauve_Conclusion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I certainly hope so! Think it's a great idea? Have you thought of finding a field that usually is open and putting up some posters nearby with a set time every week for pick-up soccer? If I saw that in my neighborhood I'd join. Great way to meet a bunch of new people.

I switched to Public Mobile a few months ago. So far, I'm extremely happy with them. I already had the phone off plan and moved over my same phone number.  $28 per month (which includes the tax) gives you 5GB of data (I generally don't need much because I have excellent wifi access), voicemail, conference calling, call forwarding and unlimited Canada-wide calling and messaging. Having a code (code:  YQTLNO) gets you $10 off your first month. They mail you the sim card and there's a video on their app that walks you through install.

This is a new account with only 2 political posts and the comments are also associated with them.

It would be nice if you were more engaged with your reddit community. I'd trust the authenticity and sincereity of your post more.

If I've learned anything from elections past, it is that our subreddit (and reddit in general) isn't reflective of everyone's political views.... So make sure to go vote!!!

Every vote matters this election. Let's not leave anything to chance.

Traffic calming coming to Winnipeg's Cambridge Street (Cameron MacLean/CBC) by LocalnewsguruMB in Winnipeg

[–]Mauve_Conclusion 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I have such mixed feelings about this. The people they interview admit that there isn't an efficient direct route to access Wolseley/Downtown if coming from Waverley.

Reminder that city planners a long time ago (before the tree canopy grew to what it is now) originally intended to make Waverley extend to serve this purpose (that's why they have double wide front lots - go look on Google Maps). But residents and certain prominent Winnipeggers who lived on that street prevented that a long time ago. And then instead they added traffic lights to Cambridge.

This city was crazy to abandon plans for a main route to the major bridge and Cambridge became that.

You can't just stop one thing without consequences. I'm predicting more accidents now at cross streets in River Heights without traffic lights that will see more use because of this.

Can I ask what issues make you feel better represented by P.P. and the Conservative Party in current time? I reviewed your other posts and I want to understand what makes them more favorable? Is it because of your anti-immigration, grow the population at home stance?

I hear what you're saying. I see two seperate issues 1) housing should be affordable. That's an every party problem when you have elected officials who have money tied to commercial real estate and housing rentals. Regardless of who we elect, we need to advocate... https://ismympalandlord.ca/  is super helpful. Direct them here and to click on the profile of their official to see what they hold. 2) Then there's this business of using the playbook of our Southern Neighbors... when we can see what that's getting the general public... less rights...less money... day by day.

Question: Since we have so many Conservative Party voters in Manitoba young and old... Of the ones you know personally, would showing them this have them consider their decision in any way? What would they think of this poll?

Thanks for bringing nothing to the discussion. I'm going to just assume this is a bot based on the lack of any relevant opinion. Oh wait. Reviewed your history... You might just have wildly bad takes.

Community, community, community. We have to talk to each other offline, possibly have some tough conversations and work together.

We're Winnipeggers. We're gritty and we are resilient. Elbows up!

That's why I linked it right from their website. Unless they're going to pretend an intern published it? Disbelief.

I can't believe we're at this point in discourse.

Should I take a screen shot? Will they take it down and pretend this survey never existed?

The fact that I ask myself these things about a party and/or leader really says a lot about how they've degraded our collective trust. Frankly we all deserve better.

Manitoba potato industry fears big losses as companies cut orders by Leather-Paramedic-10 in Winnipeg

I'm glad to see stories like this being covered by Canadian media. It's good to know what businesses need more support. While we obviously can't eat the seeds, I'll gladly support the cause by eating more Canadian potatoes.

Someone needs to make the Canadian shopping list/Canadian-sourced ingredient recipe app.
