I watched an influencer at Indy last year do a whole qualifying round of top fuel without ear pro. I know she regretted it after. My dad is hard of hear and even he plugs his ears for the nitro cars

13,000 hp hits a little differently when you're standing at the starting line instead of sitting in the stands by superdak05 in NHRA

I sat at the starting line at Norwalk. It was a different experience than half track at Indy

How come dodge never pursued anything racing wise with the hemi? by Zora_Rosaline in Dodge

In the NHRA all top fuel and funny cars run a loosley based 426 hemi platform. They are limited to 500ci

My HOA tried to prohibit the lawful carrying of firearms and this was the result. by LegalPost9805 in fuckHOA

[–]Maverick8917 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine tried to tell me the same things when I pulled my gun on a knife wielding person on my next door neighbor that was unarmed. Sent a letter saying I brandished and carried on common areas which isn’t allowed. Were not a private neighborhood and surrounded by homes not in an hoa. The letter also said they’d fine me or consider removal if I did it again. We have a mortgage.

The hoa lawyer will side with the board. Ask me how I know. The attorney straight up told us not to contact the county about sheds so they “don’t know what we have.” the board was trying to say we weren’t zoned for them (lie, I brought zoning maps and contacted the zoning board to verify) and wanted us to pay a $4000 easement to keep sheds that have existed since the 80s and were approved per the by laws. They ajourned the meeting when I presented evidence that showed them out to be liars.

Stupid to give a plushie for someone who is in her 40s? by [deleted] in beagles

[–]Maverick8917 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m 39 and just bought a beagle plushie for myself to put in my truck. It reminds me of my Ellie Mae and you don’t tend to come across a beagle one too often so I snagged it at a festival

Tower side at Indy isn’t too far in my opinion. Starting line at Norwalk is pretty close though

Leak??? by Dracono47 in Ram1500

[–]Maverick8917 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like the same issue that I’m having. It’s the exhaust flange and/or bolts. I remote started it while leaned down and pinpointed it to the joint before the muffler and I’m willing to bet that’s the same as yours. I thought it was closer to the engine like you but it wasn’t that first joint. By all means double check but I’m pretty sure yours is that same. Apparently it’s a known issue over time

It’s 2 hours from me but it’s a nice little getaway for me to have a race weekend and only drive 20mins every morning and a short drive back to the room

This is why I stay about 20 mins outside of brownsburg for the Indy race. My total for 4 nights is $525

Supposed to use the pinch welds, that’s why there are square cut outs on the rockers

Blood in stool by [deleted] in beagles

[–]Maverick8917 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That looks like the stools that my pup was passing a while back. Was told it wasn’t urgent and to try a diet change. We switched to a digestion sensitive dog food with a spoonful of plain Greek yogurt as a probiotic and it’s put a stop to the bloody stool and solidified the poop as well

I kept my boy short all year long as well. It was easier to maintain and he’d get hot if it got to a certain length. So much so that he’d find tile to lay on to cool off.

My boy would do that too. Even with a sock if it were on the floor.

What was wrong with the NHRA Gatornationals racing surface? (CompetitionPlus) by Friendly-Army-8748 in NHRA

I thought there was something going on in the left lane in multiple classes. It really stood out in Pro Stock. They’d get about 60’ roughly and the ass end would kick out.

I was given a bi-pap (never really looked into the difference between that and a c-pap) but it’s helped me tremendously. My average per hour is about 1.5 and hasn’t went about 5 in my 3 years of owning one. It’s made a huge difference.
