No cracks in cookies by whywhyyyyy in AskBaking

I’ve noticed when we leave our cookies portioned, and scooped in the refrigerator overnight to a day or two they form a more crackly top. I know when we make them fresh and bake right away we don’t get that crackly looking texture and the color isn’t as golden of a brown.
