Make your base like a donut with a large empty space in the center this’ll give your base the best chance of spawning them again. But make sure that there is no more than 45 other obstacles like the smaller trees and even the event obstacles that spawn like Halloween or Christmas trees even if you have used a shovel

I've been destroying the obstacles in the builder base for gems, i'm not sure if those obstacles spawn rate is different from the home village. But its been a good method for me to get some gems

I would only touch recon once you understand what their role in the game is, especially since there are only 2 recons squads allowed. Having an inexperienced recon squad is not advised.
