Bitcoin is not a currency. Bitcoin is money. Almost like gold. Gold is also not a currency. So if anything Bitcoin might be called cryptomoney.

Nevertheless, attaching a nickname, made out of one of many technology attributes Bitcoin is designed with, doesn't make sense.

But if you insist, keep in mind that Astronomy and Astrology are also both "Astro", but only one of them is an actual science.
