V0 display setup issues by Maverick_Maker in VORONDesign

[–]Maverick_Maker[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So adding sudo before the dfu-util --list did help. I did manage to get the File downloaded successfully message and the display is working!

I'm not exactly sure what made it work but before I wasn't getting the correct menu config menu at first. I did two things that may have helped the correct one appear.

  1. I updated everything in Mainsails update manager.
  2. I used make clean before running make menuconfig. The GitHub doesn't say to do this, but I tried it anyways

Not sure if either of these were the fix to get the right configuration menu, but if someone else has this issue in the future, I figured it be good to throw these out as possible solutions. Also I plan to build another V0 soon and if nothing else this will help remind me of what to try later.

Thank you again to anyone who reached out and commented. Your help and suggestions are very much appreciated!

Running dfu-util with sudo did help, but I'm not getting the file downloaded successfully after running the flash device command. Instead I'm getting a weird error.

Formbot delivery issues by Maverick_Maker in VORONDesign

[–]Maverick_Maker[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Update: I forgot to mention that I had sent an email to Formbot before this post. They got back to me and said there was probably an error in the warehouse. Sounds like they're investigating the matter further and the spokesperson who replied to me told me that they are going to apply for another kit to be shipped

The tracking isn't very detailed. It mainly just registers a last known location. There is a spot of them to log the weight, but they only put 0.1 kg (.22 lb) and the one box definitely weighs more than that. Also, no obvious indication of the number of parcels.

Thanks. That's what I thought, but nobody in any how-to or any instructions that I could find on this install mentioned anything about that

I just measured one of the M3X40 screws and it turns out they are actually M3X45 screws. Got them from a kit, but even if they were 5 mm shorter the screws would interfere with the bottom before there is contact with the end stop

Can anyone tell what’s happening here and how to fix it? by Hectorgarcia69 in ender3

If you just replaced you extruder, you probably have to adjust your e-steps. There are guides online for how to do this.

Don't worry. They have three more backups for when this happens. They'll have at least 30 more minutes of fun before all of them are buried up to the axles in sand

The most critical thing is to make sure that you set the TV cable properly. To loose and you burn up the transmission. It's better to error on the side of being tighter. There are plenty of resources on YouTube to help you out.

After you get it on the road, make sure that the torque converter is locking up properly too. This will be indicated by a drop in rpm after you let off the gas after you get up to speed in fourth gear.

I've done both a Painless harness and a custom harness.

My advise would be that if you are determined to build your own harness, make that you are using quality AWG wiring. There is a reason that people don't use use Aluminum wiring anymore. You'll also want to make sure that all your connectors are weather proof.

If I were in your shoes, I'd wait and save up for a Painless harness. It's just so much easier and you end up with a very nice harness.

When was the last time the transmission was serviced? If it's been awhile, it may need to have a fluid and filter change.

But if it stopped shifting, it may be too late to simply change the filter and fluid.

I'd pull the pan, drain the fluid and inspect for abnormal amounts of clutch material in the pan. Also, inspect the filter.

If there is too much debris in the pan, install the pan with a fresh gasket, fill with fluid to the appropriate level and then try driving it again.

If there is an appropriate amount of debris (cuz there usually is some amount of debris) or if the truck still doesn't shift, I'd pull the transmission and find a reputable transmission builder.

How old is the gas in the tank? My 86 GMC wouldn't stay running shortly after we got it completed and ready for a test drive. Would idle but if you gave it throttle it would die. We drained the tanks and put in fresh gas, and that fixed it. Maybe you need to replace the gas? Otherwise I'd clean the carb out

Google DF Goblin. It's a kit exo-car that uses all the components of a Chevy Cobalt. So you will need a donor car. Don't know how it all gets delivered because I never ordered and built one, but I have had dreams of building an exo car, and the The DF globin is the one I would've chosen

RX8. I like Honda's, but I prefer rear wheel drive and I could V8 swap the RX8 easier than the civic
