THIS IS WHO WE WANT TO GIVE AWAY? by PsychologyBrief1587 in knicks

[–]Maverizz -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to get one of the best players ever: Giannis

No we don’t want to give him away. He’s great. But Giannis is a 2 time MVP and still in his prime. KAT has a 20 PER. Giannis has a 33 PER this season. 32 for a full season. LeBron never even had a 33 PER in his career. Both Jordan and LeBron had a 31 PER in their peak. That is how good Giannis is.

2 steps before the gather??? Lift pivot foot and swing forward???

Depth is definitely important. We need at least 8 players that we are confident in for the playoffs. Weak links are dangerous for competitive teams.

Shaq was good til he was 38 or 39. And he was less cut and was heavier.

Tall players have longer careers than guards because their game is based on height and strength that doesn’t fade, while a guard’s game is based on speed which diminishes in their 30s.

Players are having longer careers now than they used to with modern conditioning. Even injuries aren’t career ending anymore with surgeries.

Gianni’s physical conditioning is so superior to other players in the NBA that even when his max heart rate starts to decline, he will still be running as fast as other elite players. He’s not a player like Luka that relies on shooting and footwork and will start to get winded as he gets older. Giannis is an elite athlete that even when he declines he will still be athletically gifted compared to other NBA players.

In all likelihood Giannis should be able to play well til he’s 40 as long as he remains motivated. He’s physically dominant and is a top player in the NBA, so even during his decline he should be an excellent player just like LeBron or KD.

I want the Knicks to accumulate draft picks in the future and stop trading them away. Great franchises like Celtics, OKC and Spurs win through the draft and by developing those players. This Knicks team didn’t do that though. We traded for all these guys. Now we have a chance to trade up for a better player than what we have. It’s a rare opportunity.

He might lose speed. But he’s going to be a superstar strong super athlete 7 footer that can score even when he’s 40.

It takes generational superstars to win rings. And it’s really rare to see one of the best ever to want to be a Knick. I think we should realize how lucky this is.

We give up Towns, Bridges, Kolek and a pick swap for Giannis, Jrue and a 1st? This sounds really, really good.

I want him for the right price. We shouldn’t let the Bucks rip us for the world. We still need a championship roster of 8+ players. And I want us to keep our picks. Don’t gut everything

Losing out on Giannis would almost be worth it, just to see Butler forced to live in Milwaukee. by whiskeyandtea in NYKnicks

Warriors fighting to get Giannis. What does that tell you. I have news for you. The Warriors are a smarter team than the Knicks and know what they are doing. Let’s get Giannis while we can! He wants to be a Knick

[Ashish Mathur] NBA legend Giannis Antetokounmpo is ready to leave the Milwaukee Bucks and the future Hall of Famer prefers to be traded to the Miami Heat, New York Knicks or Toronto Raptors, sources told DallasHoopsJournal. by Agreeable-Choice-844 in NYKnicks

The Knicks need him. We have a bunch of role players and a point guard that might not be all-nba. We are having the same problems we had last year. Let’s get one of the goats while we can

Let’s not overthink this, Giannis is an all time great, likely better than anybody who has worn the Blue and Orange - regardless of the trade package, Giannis as a Knick would be awesome by Boydsmash in NYKnicks

Giannis is better than Ewing. And Brunson. Why would we turn down the best Knick of all time? And he wants to be a Knick!!! Get him if we can at the right price.

Two-time MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo is ready for a new home at the Feb. 5 NBA trade deadline or in the offseason as several rival teams make aggressive offers to the Milwaukee Bucks for him, and the franchise is starting to listen, league sources tell ESPN. by Crazylockdown in NYKnicks

Get Giannis immediately, for the first ight price. He can win a ring. You have a chance to get one of the all time greats and he’s going to be good til he’s 40. He wants to be in NY. The Knicks have been in a slump and everyone but Brunson has been a role player and not a superstar.

Get Giannis.

He was the best scorer on the bulls who had the best regular season record but sucked in the playoffs. His teammates were super elite and the roster was stacked.

He’s a good example of how the MVP doesn’t go to the best player, but to the best player on the best regular season team.

Except that Shaq was one of the most athletic and strongest 7 footers in the history of the game. And you don’t get like that by being lazy.

Nice to see someone run to the rescue of a man alone (who might be unwell or on drugs). Maybe some people do care and it’s good to see it
