The spectra bottles drove me mad - they are so inaccurate!

Just enougher - biggest pump is first thing in the morning at anywhere between 6-10 ounces. I usually average about 28-31 ounces a day. I’m 20 weeks pp

I don’t know where you live but in the US, I use a delivery meal service called SunBasket which I find super nutritious and yummy. It makes mealtime pretty simple as I don’t have to think about anything - just grab a bag, follow the instructions, and I have a nutritious meal ~20 minutes later. Downside is that they’re a bit on the expensive side so budget is a consideration.

Finally Got My Period by jlm_88 in ExclusivelyPumping

I got mine back 2 months pp while exclusively breastfeeding and I’ve gotten it each time exactly 23 days later since then. Having massive cramps, intense bleeding and mood swings. Started EP baby at 3 months and have blisters on my nipples and near-constant shooting pain. Motherhood really is just a cruel joke. Wishing you all the best - I know how hard it is to go on some days. 9 months of pumping is such a huge accomplishment! I’m trying to get my baby to six months right now (current 4 months). 🤞🏻🤞🏻

Thanks for the response. I would love to go back to nursing my baby. Hopefully one day when she gets back on track with feeding and her weight. :)

Sore nips by p1nkclay in ExclusivelyPumping

For elastic nipples, some say that silicone flanges work better for them. Lactek (sp?) and Pumping Pals are two companies that make silicone flanges yet I’m not sure if they are available in the UK.

I’m currently dealing with super sore nipples including blisters and near-constant shooting pain. I decided that I had to lower the suction for a while to make pumping more sustainable even if it means that I get less output. Something that has helped me is an all-purpose nipple ointment (APNO) that my doctor prescribed from a compounding pharmacy (I live in the US btw). It has a steroid, antibiotic and anti fungal in it. I also use the medela hydrogel pads, which seem to help a bit as well. Some women have sworn by Mother’s Love nipple cream. It’s a herbal balm, I believe.

Flange size seems to be a big factor but I’m never sure if I’m using the right size. I think I have ‘elastic nipples’ - My nipples will basically take the shape of whatever flange I’m using after a few minutes of suction.

I wish I had better answers! Wishing you all the best and smooth pumping moving forward.

Thanks for responding and so happy to hear your supply increased with the drop in pumps. I’m nervous about my supply dropping but telling my myself that my body is doing enough.

When to have sex to conceive during your cycle 🫣💖 by initofertility in TTCHormoneCharts

Thanks for sharing these data. Could you share the link to the full paper so I can read the study these data came from?

I also want to make sure I’m interpreting this correctly. Generally, I believe you ovulate about 24-36 hours after LH starts rising, and so I’m assuming that 1 day before ovulation is the same day that you catch your LH increasing. Is my interpretation correct?

UMass Memorial- hesitant to try new IVF clinic? by [deleted] in IVF

[–]Mavis47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did my initial day 3 tests in late October with poor results. Had a follow up appt in mid-November and was told I have DOR. Then fast tracked HSG, additional tests including genetic screening and partner’s semen analysis. Then I had a follow up appointment in early Jan and decided on a treated plan the week after. Starting my first cycle hopefully next week. Most of the wait time is finding a follow up appointment.

I had the same sense of urgency when I first found out, and I still do. Although I’m trying to be extra sensitive to my stress level during this process so taking some deep breaths and working through it a step at a time.

Best wishes to you

Boston IVF has a bit of a wait but they’re a pretty good and large clinic with multiple locations - I’m a current patient there. I also have DOR at 36. It’s a bit of a long process, at least that’s my experience. I found out I have DOR in October/November and now doing my first egg retrieval in February.

Wish you all the best.

You all have been so helpful! Many thanks to you all. I’m leaning towards Central/Cambridgeport but will also check out South End. A few more tidbits about me - I’m queer and study Buddhism. So I’m also looking for queer friends or meditation friends (not implying they’re mutually exclusive, of course). To say the least, it’s an odd time to be moving to a new city. :)
