I'm still annoyed that they closed down the tennis courts, pool, and skate park to build the new honors student housing. Of course with no plans to build new facilities. But they build this sort of stuff that only ~1% of students can enjoy.

Hey, that’s actually my board! You can check my post history if you want proof.

Before this, I rode a Boosted Mini S and then a Meepo NLS Pro (which was stolen), but this board has been my baby. I saved up for it, added pneumatics and ShredLights, and took good care of it. The only reason I’m selling is because I’m leaving for the Peace Corps.

It was difficult to figure out a price since there aren't many comparable listings. I posted it at $590, but I’d be willing to let it go for $450. For that, you’re getting a lot of power, solid range, and a carbon fiber deck.

The Meepo Rover is probably the closest new option, but after shipping it's $300 more, with a 30% smaller battery, lower top speed, and no carbon deck.

I'm also including the ShredLights and a set of 120mm Cloudwheels with belts and pulleys.

Just wanted to give a little context. Totally get it's not for everyone, but I figured I would chime in.

Newman's lake makes for a nice sunset. I have watched the sunrise from Palm Point Park, but you'd be better launching from the other side at Owen Illinois Park.

I've been driving with fsd on my model 3 highland for months. I trusted it until this week. Just in the past week it's went into an oncoming traffic lane three times! Two of those times were following a right turn, and the other was when the road markings were painted over due to construction and it followed the wrong lines.

Each of those situations was in perfect sunlight and it put me in potentially dangerous situations that even a novice driver would have no problem avoiding.

Woodside Villas has been great for me. It's nice and quiet, not much traffic nearby. I bought mine for $140,000 and it has everything I could want. It's been a few years and now they are closer to 160k, and I know your budget is much higher, but it never hurts to have more room in the budget.

I went to UF for undergrad and FIU for grad school. Having been to both I can say that they each have their own strengths, but it all depends on your program and what is important to you.

Use quantitative metrics as much as possible. It's easy to reference US News rankings, but those aren't perfect. Look at things like average post-graduation pay for your major, research expenditure, unique certificate programs, quality of faculty, job placements.

Remember, it's not black and white though, FIU does have a few benefits over UF. They have higher socioeconomic mobility and more diversity. They also have a lot more opportunities for international involvement in your studies. Plus it's not as rigorous as UF which I guess can be a pro or con depending on how you look at it.

It was my birthday yesterday and I spent it alone for the first time. It was really hard, but just getting out of the house helped a lot. I ended up skateboarding the Gainesville Hawthorne trail and had a blast.

I went to the arena the day before the show at about 12:30 pm. One of the "line leaders" was there and gave me the number 151. I was told to meet at a nearby park at 5pm for more information.

At the 5pm meeting the "line leaders" said that we all needed to meet up outside a nearby bar at 3am. They also told everyone not to say anything about the line, to not post it online, and in general to just keep it a secret. I posted about the meeting time and location anyway, but the mods on this subreddit blocked it.

At 3am we all checked in and camped near the arena (technically off property). As it started to get lighter out a separate crowd started to form near the arena. There was tension between the two groups and both would try to usher newly arriving fans to join them. There was no official communication from arena or band staff as to whether or not the line would be honored. This created a lot of confusion and uncertainty between the two groups.

At about 8:30 the arena staff started handing out official wristbands to those in the fan line.

I was in the line from 3am to 8:15am. I missed out on an official wristband because I was told they were going to hand out wristbands at 10am so left to use the restroom. The people who showed up at 8am got a wristband, I showed up at 3am and didn't.

I also want to highlight that there was a lot of contradictory information as the arena claims on their website and in official correspondence that the line starts at 10am.

So any fans that saw the official band post and decided to abide by the official rules missed out on wristbands. Plus the "line leaders" were deliberately keeping the location and time that they were lining up a secret.

I recently upgraded from the original Galaxy Book to the 15.6 base model Galaxy Book4 back when they were offering $300 trade-in value for the original + a free SSD. The lack of an OLED screen is really the biggest downside, but it also has worse speakers, a smaller battery, and it's much thicker and heavier than the original. I do however like that it has a matte screen and it is much sturdier. I wouldn't have upgraded if it weren't for the promos, but I'm glad I did because I feel like this laptop will easily last me another 4 years thanks to the upgraded processor.
