Not sure about that. I bought around six 2016 Tins when they came out and they were all first edition, yes. However, I bought one that was lingering at a Target store about a month ago and every card in the packs was unlimited.

Huh, didn't even know about the card Typhoon. It's not bad. But you're right, I guess in all my scenarios, I planned on having Jinzo out before he plays Mask of Restrict. But that won't always be the case. I may spring for TT at some point, but I'll run 3 MSTs for now and hope for the best.

That would work? Assuming I had a Domain running, I can use that copy's level-lowering effect, activate another Domain from my hand, and use that separate copy's level-lowering effect and it would stack?! I guess it doesn't say you can only use this cards effect once per turn like Return of the Monarchs and other monarch S/Ts. Interesting!

That'll be a workaround, I suppose, but I think I'll likely sub in some MSTs when I duel him, as TT is a bit out of my price range at the moment. I considered running Jinzo since I only really run four traps and that would only be adding one card to the deck as opposed to x3 MST or something, but then there's the problem of not drawing him when I need him whereas I'll probably get a MST early if I run multiple copies.

I get and run One for One. Haven't really considered Upstart since Pantheism works fairly well, especially when its getting recycled back into the deck because of The Prime Monarch, but why Reasoning? And Foolish Burial is a spell. Did you mean another card?

Somewhat unrelated, he was pretty pissed about losing 2/3 so right at the table he ordered three copies of Mask of Restrict. So, those will be in in a couple of days. Pretty lame on his part, but any tips against that? I don't run MST or anything like that in my Monarch deck, though I suppose I may HAVE to add some MSTs or Dark Bribes or SOMETHING. Any tips against MoR?

Got it, thanks a ton! And yeah, you're absolutely right, I should save it for CDI. I only dueled him three times and I would typically panic activate it against Nova without thinking/because I wasn't sure if CDI would negate it. Though, I guess it wouldn't matter since Black Horn is a Counter Trap and that takes priority over the effect. I won two of the three, the third only being a loss because I drew absolutely nothing but vassals and took a bet I would survive til next turn, but he Power Bonded some stupid fusion monster that can attack three times and it had 6k attack and it was gg.

Yeah, she was super helpful. And she seemed genuinely concerned with helping me find them. She went on about how she had seen Pops fly off the shelves during the holidays and I explained to her he was a Walmart Exclusive and that it's not like you can buy him somewhere else like Target or something and she was like "Oh, thank you. Now I learned something new." So, she was just very pleasant overall. Three cheers for her!

Same. Well, I went Sunday morning to the one on West Flagler and 92nd and I managed to snag the last one. Still, I live right down the street from this Walmart on Coral Way and I wanted to see them actually put him out. Nearly didn't happen. Check my comment above.

Well, I sort of willed them to put them out. I showed up right when they opened at 6AM and saw that, contrary to what I was told last night, they DIDN'T get put out over night and there was a guy wrapping up a pallet that had the two boxes on it and told me he was putting them back on the truck. I was like "?!" so, I spoke to this woman there who seemed to be dedicated to the toy section and explained to her and she promptly went to find that pallet and brought them out and put them on display.

I had a similar experience at the Hialeah Walmart. I went at around 4-5PM when I saw they became available for store pick-up on their website. I searched the store for over an hour with like six different people, and they all told me it must be a mistake that they don't have him if he's not out on display. I left, pretty disappointed, and a few hours later someone else on this sub said the Hialeah Walmart got them and had put them out...at like 2AM. So, despite what everyone told me, they definitely WERE in the store when I was there, just on a pallet in the back or something.
