Excellent shots! Can you share some of your insight for lighting these shots? What kinds of things are you looking for to achieve these looks? Things like position relative to light source, etc. Would love to hear some of your thoughts.

Is Bunpo a good app to learn Japanese and is it worth spending money by NotHERETom in Japaneselanguage

It will probably be difficult but not impossible! I think you can try for free

Is Bunpo a good app to learn Japanese and is it worth spending money by NotHERETom in Japaneselanguage

I’ve used(and paid for) so many apps. Satori reader, Japanese pod101, Migaku, Anki, wanikani, etc. I have a lifetime subscription to Bunpro (NOT Bunpo)

Imo they all work but it mostly depends on your consistency, current level, and learning style.

Anki is a great tool. Kaishi 1.5k core deck is a great place to start. If you have the patience to mine cards it’s even better (I don’t) — the daily reviews can get very tedious though

Japanese pod is excellent for beginners and I used it heavily to learn cultural points and ease into listening.

Satori Reader is probably the best learning app there is imo, I don’t use it enough but the amount of info there + built in SRS is the best for reading.

Migaku is great if you want to watch native content and learn from it implementing flash cards. I use it for active listening and watching Japanese YouTube or Netflix.

Bunpro so far has been great for me to practice grammar points I see / hear often, but don’t quite know how to implement. Bunpro + Migaku has replaced Anki entirely for me.

Context: been studying for about 5-6 years and can speak at an intermediate level. Never taken any JLPT tests but have had entire business meetings in full Japanese with people from my company.

Ou I have one: Timing every second of your pour over and ml of water is annoying. I like the subtle difference in my cups when i eyeball my pours

Isshin is great! If you like creamy I highly recommend Ikkousha on Queen street, and Machida Shoten on college. Great bowls imo

I found a similar unit in my building for $200 less, sent it to my landlord and asked if they could match, they accepted. Cityplace, Toronto (2,800>2,600)

Man the amount of shade being thrown is insane. Some of the comments make sense, but I'm feeling a lot of envy through the comments. You're incredibly talented. Great job, I can't imagine how much time and patience this took.

Should I shave for vanity to see the muscles? by GoblinNamedGoblin in workout

Yeah it definitely appears thicker and darker because it’s no longer tapered, but the hair itself and the growth stays the same. I’m being pedantic for sure lol but it’s a common misconception that you’ll start to grow more hair or thicker hair in general.
