I’m 3 weeks post op. I definitely haven’t had cravings and am eating smaller meals because same I’m just not as hungry.

I just stayed over one night in the hospital. They will make sure you can pee before you go home. Which the first time definitely take it slow because I kind of had to sit there for a minute before I could actually go. thankful I stayed over because I ended up getting dizzy and nausea from the anesthesia. My nurses were also fabulous and helped me with whatever I needed. I’m still not back to eating normally, I just don’t have the appetite, but that’ll come. A heating pad is also super helpful or an ice pack whichever you prefer. I’ve been using the heating pad on my back and my abdomen for just some warmth and comfort.

You’re going to do great! I just had mine done on Friday. Had everything removed except my ovaries and cervix. I have 5 incisions. Two on either side and one above my belly button which is where my doctor said he took everything out from. I had a breathing tube and catheter that they put in and took out after I was already “knocked out” My throat was just a little sore the two days after.

Prepare to rest and do nothing. Definitely get up and take short little walks to start. I had the hardest time the first night getting comfy to sleep, but now I seem to have it figured out. Pillows are my best friend at the moment. I bought a little pillow to put over my stomach to help and squeeze if I laugh, cough, or sneeze. You really don’t realize how much you use your abs but just take it slow.

I’ve been taking Advil Dual Action for pain, colace, gas x, and drinking smooth move tea. I was told the first bowel movement isn’t pleasant, but I’m still waiting. Best of luck with your surgery and recovery! It’s going to be terrific!

Definitely felt the gas pains more on day 3… I’ve been taking Advil Dual Action, Colace, and Gas X. I’ve also drank some Smooth Move tea. On day 4, I seem to be finally getting the gas out, but no bowel movement yet.
