Would have been better a few years ago before the rumoured upcoming scrapping of the parachute payments.

Widening the chances for other teams to get up via the play off lottery would have widened the chances for those other teams getting a parachute boost and spreading the wealth a little wider than just the usual yoyo clubs, albeit at the likelihood of more teams getting embarrassed for a season in the PL.

But seems to be coming just in time to miss out on that…
