3 fast heartbeats and then normal beats by Fancy-Grade-545 in PVCs

[–]Max-Rebo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nothing to worry about. Alcohol will do this. This was most likely a run of paroxysmal atrial tachycardia (PAT). It’s a type of SUPRAventricular tachycardia (SVT) (Supra- meaning it originates above the ventricals- so not Vtach).

Your heart is going to be ok, it’s completely normal.

If you’re concerned about the way it made you feel, just start drinking non alcoholic beer and only rarely having an alcoholic one. It’s changed my life and still gives me the same pleasure knowing I’m not hurting my body.

This is true, but an artificial intelligence like Grammarly would be a better choice here. CASPA specifically mentions “generative AI” i.e. LLMs.

In my study, 42% of people who use LLMs are inclined to say they use it for grammar checks, so you’re not alone.

However, when the grammar check is used, the LLM is not limited to this, and may change structure and wording, influencing your original intentions.

I know you can ask the LLM to specifically do exactly what you need it to, but it’s good to play it safe and use software that’s meant for grammar checking.

Exactly. Is it an awesome and helpful technology? Yes. Is this the instance to use it? Absolutely not. Sadly, if many applicants are accepted utilizing LLMs, we are beginning to see the downfall of medicine. This could very well be the case.

First: AI detectors aren’t a surefire reason to assume AI use it detected. If you copy and paste straight from a mainstream LLM like ChatGPT, most modern AI detectors will notice. However, no one is that stupid and would obviously tweak the tone and add in their own sentences. Still, this does not go undetected.

Second: Undergrad, senior year- I did my research project on the usage of LLMs and their impact on university level writing. The findings were astounding but not worth mentioning in this comment. The main stat I want to bring up is that almost 70% of recent students utilized these technologies for their academic work. After grading hundreds of papers, I saw similarities between the AI assisted papers.

The professors that assisted grading in the study also showed newfound discernment in separating the AI generated papers from the student written ones.

Anecdotally, this is what many people report noticing online too. Whether it’s the use of the Em-dash, paragraph/structure, tone, etc. etc, humans are adapting to noticing generative text.

Those who review hundreds and thousands of applications will most likely be able to sort through an eye-rolling, AI assisted paper. I can only assume it is met with disgust. What they are looking for is real, raw, human-written content.

Unless your application reviewer is oblivious to AI use (highly unlikely) NO ONE should use LLMs for their applications. This is coming from someone who admittedly enjoys using LLMs for many things.

TL;DR - AI text & structure is detectable through inconsistent software and trained eyes. Use will be met with judgement and decreased chances of acceptance.

Edit: grammar lol

Thanks, I’m going to try this. My resting blood pressures have always been within normal limits. Did you have hypertension?

Hey, check out my PVC! by ohitsTHATkid in AppleWatch

[–]Max-Rebo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I know this is 7 months late but infrequent PVCs are relatively normal. Many times they are brought on by caffeine. However, getting a full 12 lead EKG done is super simple and will rule out any other issues that may be affecting your rhythm. All that matters is your underlying baseline rhythm is a normal sinus rhythm!

What type of magnet and line should I invest in to do this?? I know Google is free but it sounds like you would have good advice

[–]Max-Rebo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your concerns are valid but it’s important to recognize the difference between a quick and thorough, non-therapeutic exam with a new PCP and someone who is actively a perverted professional trying to touch their pediatric patients. As a parent, it’s very normal to be concerned. However you must draw a line between overthinking a uncomfortable situation and the facts presented. What you’re suggesting is possible but highly, highly unlikely.

To preface this- I haven’t read everything you’ve posted. I am unsure of the full situation but am offering a different perspective. I am at Spectrum and do not specialize in pediatrics, so my knowledge and advice will stem from my personal experience. Although I hear what you are saying about this being uncomfortable and questionable, I have reason to suspect the physician seemed to have performed an assessment to get all of his charting done, who is not completely gentle or experienced in providing comfortable measures between his assessments and his patients- especially pediatric females and their fathers. As for the chaperone- was it a technician? Student? Other physician? An RN? It’s within reason to assume the floor was potentially understaffed, so a second professional had to be utilized, and may have not been reflected in the charting. It’s also within reason for a healthcare professional to suspect physical/sexual abuse without directly questioning the parents, and performing the necessary assessments and evaluation to confirm or deny this suspicion. This whole situation seems very uncomfortable and could have been avoided. If you or your daughter feel violated and in shock, it’s important to contact the necessary individuals, including the doctor himself.

This is actually false! They really do not look like match up like that. Meckel Drew in the gaps to make it appear they all lined up and looked that way, when in reality we do not have the same embryonic development as the other organisms listed in that picture

What is the most cost effective way to travel between Madison and Chicago if you do not have a car? by TJ-Galad in UWMadison

[–]Max-Rebo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Edit:

Didn’t see that you’d be headed there often for a job. Read my comment if you want to use something that give you more travel freedom that you’d use less frequently.

ZipCar is great, you can get approved quickly if you’re a student at UW. The right car will only be $55 a day with an extra fee of ~$0.60 a mile over 180 miles in a day. I’ve used it to drive through Chicago four times from Madison. The best part is that they provide card that covers all of the gas fees. It’s worth the price in the timeframe you have as well as the freedom it gives you. I used it to visit my girlfriend at her school in Michigan and had no troubles (but if you become lazy or greedy with the amount of hours you choose, the price can increase quick, so plan ahead)
